Does v1 have an AA combos in his limping range? Hard to think JJ calls the turn c/r.

I do not think he would limp with AAxx unless he was trapping V2?? Hard to thing he would do that with pre with people left to act.

i c/r flop... your hand is probably too vulnerable to trap with and not great to play OOP. I fold river as played... don't think a nit value bets worse or bluffs here ever.

As a very tight player, I can say that I play some AAxx hands that way preflop.

This hand is consistent with how some people play 55xx. I wouldn't be shocked if you get shown a steel wheel.

I folded but he was kind enough to show me a spade flush with JJ

Raising a bit (or full pot) OTF would allow you to fold the River (if you have chips left) but there's something to be said for playing a bit passive as well OOP with bottom FH combos.

Raising the Turn certainly indicates you have 4x or a flush and this Player still bets into you on the River. So folding River is definitely a consideration AP as well. I think raising OOP allows this Player to play perfectly against you OTR. Why did you raise and then check the River? Are there zero bluffs in this V? It's a pretty weak play typically unless you intend to c/c ... it screams 4x missed the River and increases bluffing from the IP Player.

With bottom FH I find that you need to be passive til the River or aggressive for two streets and accept the River results. Especially with this Turn, which will allow you to c/c both the Turn and River if someone is barreling a flush or other 4x.

There's certainly no crime in how you played it. Depending on your typical game dynamic this might be the perfect way to control the pot against a tight ABC opponent ... plenty at the table should say you lost the minimum. GL

Why did you smooth call the flop?

Why did you raise the turn?
