5/5 PLO.
UTG limps, UTG+1 raises to $25. 2 calls in front.

Hero dealt 8755 in cutoff.

I call, button calls, UTG calls.
6 to flop.

Flop ($150) 7Q5
Checks to hero, hero bets $150. Only MP calls, who has another $125 behind.

Turn ($450) 2. MP checks, hero checks.

River ($450) Q
MP checks.
Should hero check behind, or go for the rest of villain's $125?

Slightly player dependent... but against a random player definitely jam river. Also definitely fold pre, a set of 5s has huge RIO in most big pots.

Once I have decided to bet that flop ( betting is not always correct) then its with the assumption that due to stack sizes the rest goes in on later streets. Gii on turn imo

For me to lead into 5 people on the flop is pretty strong, so V must be calling with a strong hand as well or strong draw. I put him on Q7 or flush draw most likely, hence my decision to check both turn and river.

If both hands are equally plausible, and V calls a river shove with either holding, then the EV of the river bet is [% chance flush][$ amount of call] - [% chance of better full house][$ amount of call] = (.50)*(125) - (.50)*(125)=0. Thus, it seems a bet only makes sense if I think there's a better chance V has a flush than a full house, hence I could see it going either way.

The above assumes that V always calls a river shove with a flush, which he actually might not do. He may be only calling with a better full house, in which case the river bet would be -EV.

When it's less than a 1/3 of a psb and villain chose not to commit the rest of his chips 3x in a row, it's really hard to not go for value.. it's hard to think villain took an optimal line with whatever hand he has so we shouldn't be overly cautious betting such a strong hand on the river against a weaker player

Hero should just get the rest of the chips in on the turn imo

Moreover if villain does have a better boat we should just shrug it off since all the chips should have went in sooner

I understand, but he flop SPR is less than 2. Any flop bet here assumes you’re going to GII if heads up to turn.
IMO your range applied to villain and used in your formula is very narrow, which can skew the results.
Villain can call with a wrap, OESD, KK and AA not wanting to fold. Or it can just be QX where X can be three overcards to the board.
