What is the straddle? $20? Just pot pre or at least go more than $50. Get some money in there.

So, you cover V? What's his stack? Effective stack is the one that's important.

Hard to give great advice here without reads, you have 3rd nut straight (t-hi)

The main reason you would want to call is that villain can double barrel here with hi confidence you do not have q9, as that hand cbets often and raises turn almost always

However, its pretty easy for you have the 2nd nut straight and hero can call down with that, for that reason (plus you have nut spade blocker) you can probably fold without worry

We can definitely have Q9 here, why not?

With NFD blocker, folding seems way too weak. We can peel fold though. It's okay to peel turn fold rivers, especially if we block an nfd.

Better straights than yours: Q9, J9, T9, 98, 97.
Realistically you have the 6th nut straight and no redraws and a stiff 9 blocker. You are playing 5-card. If he doesn't have you beat he most certainly is drawing to beat you.

You need a REAL solid specific read to think about this one.

The only saving grace here is that it is "obvious" you don't have anything, yet he bet the max.

Your hand isn't coordinated enough to raise pre-flop. You are playing in a 5-card game with only 2 combos; albeit they are top ones. I remind you that while 4-card has 6 holdem combos, 5-card has 10. You need to hit the flop well in 4-card, in 5-card it is essential.

Fold turn. There are a ton of combos that are ahead of you with the J-high straight, and you aren't drawing to beat any of them. You can call down with the J-high straight which you should have a lot in 5 card Omaha.
