It's also a really different game than PLO. The ten or so times I've played it there is often a raise (or reraise) to 500 pre or on the flop, then it's limit Omaha to the river and you need to show down the best hand. I did manage to run a dry ace bluff once, but it's probably not a long term money maker in this game.
As you've probably noticed, a lot depends on who the actual villains are - some of them you are never blasting off any reasonable piece of the board and they are in turn firing away with a wide range. Others not so much.
I'd probably have played this hand the same way. The other option would be check raise the flop like Alpha suggested and hope your hand holds up

I've personally decided to stick with the 2 card game when at your room.
