Pretty inexperienced in Omaha. Have maybe 50 hours live under my belt mostly at 5/t and 5/t/20.

I’m in small blind (1000, everybody else covers) with Ts7s8h6h. There are 5 limpers. I limp. Is this a raise for anybody? I can raise up to 500.

Flop (70) Td7d4s.

I check. Is this a bet?

Checks around to HJ limper who bets 50. BTN calls. Is this a raise/GII spot?

I call. 2 more callers.

Turn (320) Ks

This is a bad card for us I think. Is this super standard c/f?

weird game

I won't raise 1st time around (there's probably some cute amount like $120 that gets you hu action to the flop but you need to know your opps tendencies)

cr flop, gii turn or whatever tickles your fancy. ap you kinda painted yourself into a corner 4 ways, but still can't c/f. I probably just slam $500 in there and try to look as smug as possible

Im have this weird idea that I need to see a safe turn before I do anything in Omaha when there is semi connected board w flush draw out there. I guess c/r to like 300 otf?

Ap, ep limper bet 175 ott and mp raised to 675.

So I folded.

This game is so different from holdem. It takes a while to develop reads and recognize tendencies.

It's also a really different game than PLO. The ten or so times I've played it there is often a raise (or reraise) to 500 pre or on the flop, then it's limit Omaha to the river and you need to show down the best hand. I did manage to run a dry ace bluff once, but it's probably not a long term money maker in this game.

As you've probably noticed, a lot depends on who the actual villains are - some of them you are never blasting off any reasonable piece of the board and they are in turn firing away with a wide range. Others not so much.

I'd probably have played this hand the same way. The other option would be check raise the flop like Alpha suggested and hope your hand holds up . I don't think it's a real good spot OOP like you are.

I've personally decided to stick with the 2 card game when at your room.

Ok right it is very different. At a table with aggressive players you basically always have to show up with a hand at sd. Like you have to give up a lot of bluffs otr bc Vs are more likely to call their marginal hands in big pots. It’s a big game. 1k stack is tiny. It’s one hand. Some people end up with like 10-15k.

I would definitely raise preflop. Once thinned down or lower SPR, this board is an easy get in. When 6-7 way, that'd be quite a bit nastier.
