5 card Omaha question 5 card Omaha question

Hi all,

First time posting in these forums so apologies if I've missed any etiquette or something.

I'm just looking to confirm that I've made the right play here and am favourite as I struggled to find an accurate calculator. If someone could post the results or link me to it if be v grateful.

Game = 5/5 Omaha 4/5/6 live cash game
Relative stack size = approx £900

Hero = AsJcTc8s7s
Villain =AcAhQcQh4d

Villain limps, call, cut off raises pot, hero calls from button, Villain re-pots, CO calls, I call.

Everything ok here so far?

Flop comes Qd9s5s
Villain pots (£440) I reshove, villain calls.

If I've calculated correctly I think I have about 56%. Can someone please confirm that is correct?

Now a couple of things:
1. Yes I know I've got 3 spades but the way the action has gone and with position, I think I'm still ok to join this pot yes?
2. I was already down £1K from being card dead for a couple of hours/wrong flops etc so didn't even ask to run it twice. Villain and I also don't get on so don't think he would have agreed to it anyway as he probably thought he was way ahead. Is this totally wrong thinking? I thought I was in an awesome spot to get even before we got to showdown.

FYI, board paired on the turn so I was drawing dead to the 6s. Anything wrong with any of the above?

Thanks in advance

all looks fine. If you don't have much exp playing 4/5/6 keep in mind that most skilled 4card version is rarely chosen and sometimes when group of wealthy gamblers rounds up choosing 6cards all the time, and potting, repotting every hand pf this game might become close to pure gambling.

Thanks very much, just wanted some confirmation.

I haven't played 4/5/6 until recently and actually never played 5/5 before but the usual 1/2 game had been pushed up so I just jumped in and took a shot. Unfortunately didn't work out well but I left knowing I'm good enough to play those stakes.

Agreed the game just becomes pure gambling for some degenerates but that's what you want right? If you can regularly get someone to call with the second nuts, what more can you ask? I actually prefer 6 card because most people aren't able to think of it on a higher level. Even 5 card is too much for some, I imagine my villain won't have even thought that his other card doesn't connect with Broadway.

I've run pretty badly this week but if I can dodge the swings then should be ok. I moved away from hold em as I believe the playing pool is getting too good and will only get better. Omaha is the way forward if you want to win for me
