5/5 live. AQT4ss flopped broadway. Going for 2nd barrel?

5/5€ live 8max.
Its a limped pot so far. I am in BB with AQT4ss (T4 diamond) and raised to 25€ and got couple of callers.
Flop is KJT. (2 diamands)
I c-bet the flop with 4/5 pot and got 2 callers.
One caller is SB (400€ stack and passiv nit guy)
The 2nd caller is a big stack (around 2k€). Solid TAG. He has position on me.
I had him covered with my stack.
Turn: 7d.
SB checks
Hero??

I personally dislike the preflop raise from BB, maybe suited to the Ace i might venture a raise.

I would actually check and maybe even fold if Solid TAG bets.

Pointless and bad iso pre.
Probably check turn and block/small bet on river?

Pre is bad?
I should mention is a soft live game environment and not tough online zoom guys.
AQTx is in my eyes better than the whole limp range of passiv/nit guys at the table. I have some edge postflop and can c-bet very profitable many flops.

Raising pre is a big mistake. Check fold turn vs described villains

I agree that raising pre-flop is marginal at best (probably -ev), though am sympathetic to it being less consequential in a soft game and/or just making pots bigger with your entire range.

Being suited to an ax would make raising much more attractive. We want to have strict raising criteria out of the bb, and this hand would not qualify for me

Like monikrazy said, criteria for raise should be stricter, unless I suppose you have super unlimited bankroll. I mean how much variance do you want to inject into a game which already has insane variance?
You also have an admittedly solid player with 2k stack and position on you and raising with non nut ace, it seems problematic to me. Are you rolled to 50k? That's the type of variance I feel like you're inviting with an iso here.

If it's a HU pot against a known face-up/passive type, totally diff scenario and much more open to the iso.

Re: 5/5 live. AQT4ss flopped broadway. Going for 2nd barrel?

Ok guys, I got it now..
Pre bad ok. But we are in a game now and as you all know turnplay is very important.
I still think on turn, I should bet some amount of time here, to keep the pressure and initiative. With a check I give some room for the TAG Villian on BTN to make some crazy float with Adxxx here for example. I belive with 3rd nuts in this spot,
I am good here often enough to not be -EV overall.
The hand played this way: I was actually checking on turn and BTN checks very quick too. River paired the board and SB ckecks, I checks and BTB was stabbing almost full pot..
After the hand, I was thinking about my turn play.
Maybe SB had me beat some of the time with Q high flush, but as I know this player, he often folds a lot to pressure. So I was not too much worry about him to be honest.

We check and try to get to a cheap showdown.

It needs emphasising: pre is a fairly big mistake.
