Playing 5/5 PLO/BigO mix game, this round it's BigO.

Table is a lot of regulars, familiar with most of them since I've been playing more lately. I just bought in for $500 and started getting AA or A2 with like every hand so I've played every hand since I've sat down (like 4-5 straight).

Then this next spot happens:

Villain in SB [$465] - very aggressive, smart/winning player
BB [$500] - no read, haven't played with before
Hero [$600] - passive image but have been aggressive since sitting down

***Non-Straddle round (at least half the players typically straddle and make it a 5/5/10 game but UTG isn't one of them)***

I limp UTG+1 with AKQ24 (suited to the ace, was either or ), couple callers, SB raises to $20, BB calls, I call, everyone else folds (3 callers to the flop, $70 in the pot)

Flop is 4510 rainbow.

SB leads $55, BB calls, I flat. ($235 in the pot)

Turn is 4, so board is 44510 with backdoor .

SB checks, BB checks, I check.

River is an off-suit 6, so board is 445610.

SB checks, BB bets $80, I flat, SB check-raises all-in for $390, BB folds, I call the extra $310.

Thoughts on this line?

Raise pre, and would consider betting the turn as played. River seems fine.

Doesn't seem that a lot of people post in that sub-forum (very few posts and responses to posts) and since it is a PLO/BigO mix game I thought this forum was appropriate.

If I'm in the wrong I have no problem with the MODs moving my thread.

So if it was a PLO / 2-7 mix game would you also post 2-7 hands here? Clearly this forum is for PLO hi posts and that forum is for hi/lo posts. You'll get better answers there because those guys actually play hi-lo.

Why would you check the turn in position?

Calling river shove only costs you 36 bucks if you are getting quartered, folding would be a disaster

I checked the turn because I felt like I was either way ahead or behind the SB's range at that point (as most people typically only raise out of the blinds with A2xxx or AAxxx) and wanted to control the pot so I could call a river-bet on a favorable run-out.

I see now that this approach is a little too tight and I should be putting more pressure on those A2/AA hands to put more money in the pot when I get that good a turn card (would also help me to get flush-draws/wraps/worse low-draws to fold out).

Spoiler:
SB showed A3456 and was slow-playing a turned full-house.

I had taken a minute to do the math before calling as I wanted to make sure that even if I got quartered I wouldn't be losing much and the dude looked exasperated when I called, started berating me for calling with the nut-low, which was really quite odd...maybe dude was tilting from something that happened prior.
