UTG : $ 2300
CO : $ 1440
BU : $ 1660
SB (Hero): $ 2930
BB: $ 500

Pre Flop: (pot: $15.00) Hero has A J T 9 9
UTG, CO and BU calls $10, Hero raises to $60, UTG, CO and BU calls.

Flop: ($250, 4 players) K T 9
Hero UTG CO checks, BU bets $125, Hero calls, UTG CO folds

Turn: ($500, 2 players) 3
Hero and BU checks

River: ($500, 2 players) 7
Hero bets $216, BU calls.

I think my Flop call is abit fishy, not drawing to anything nut other than Q but folding here doesnt make sense, especially against a half pot bet.

Should bet on the turn instead of the river.

Bottom set, gutshot+ Jack high flushdraw i'm not folding vs 50% bet ever.
I think turn is fine to check, his range will consist of higher sets and QJxx combos mostly when he bets in to 3people. I don't think we ever get 2 streets of value vs those hands and often will valueown ourself if we bet turn+river, also sets up for a Ah-blocker bluff from villain.
Once Villain checks back turn standard valuebet OTR, but i'd size it up a bit $300.

seems fine. i usually bet smaller like your size 30-40% on monotone boards but in this situation w/ the 4th heart coming and how it played I might bet bigger. I think I have enough bluffs/semibluffs in my range that a bigger sizing makes a lot of sense.

What are your bluffs? Sets? You often might not even continue with bottom set if it didn’t also include hearts and a lot of your top or middle set hands include hearts too. Unless you’re turning some flopped straights into bluffs I don’t think you can balance it for larger sizing and if I was in the other guys shoes I would gladly fold straights / low flushes to a bet closer to the size of the pot and give you a golf clap if you had the moxy to turn straights into a bluff.

Stole the words from my mouth.

Yeah absolutely. We have very few bluffs. I’d only go huge with the nuts, or a flopped set with the Ah in my hand.
