Hey guys,

i was playing this guy for a few minutes. He seems to be reggish - not much besides some small pots and standard pre stuff going on so far...

[converted_hand][hand_history]IPoker, $3/$6 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #11626352

SB: $597 (99.5 bb)
Hero (BB): $701 (116.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8 J A 4
SB raises to $18, Hero calls $12

Flop: ($36) A 6 T (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $27, Hero calls $27

Turn: ($90) A (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

River: ($90) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $45, Hero ?

River:
I feel this bet is never a bluff often enough to c/c/almost never something worse he bets for value + his range is capped - mine isnīt that much. What you think about river?

Yeah, I like a CR and I like your reasoning.. If you make it $160, you get him to fold a flush ~85% of the time and he has a flush much, much more often that a boat.

In game i actually cR pot i think but given that i canīt rep many bluffs i agree, i donīt have to make it that big (has to work like 1/7 of the time more once i pot cr compared to cr to 160).

I was thinking iīd like to give him a worse price to call and avoid getting a "odds" call...

Hard to say without detailed reads, but I think folding is usually a little better than calling, yeah. Raising's much better than both though.

C/r some of the time is good but he is going to have to hero nutflush/A7.

really? aren't we going to get called pretty often since our line is pretty BSy?

Think I like call more than the rest

Assuming he bets AQ/AK or better on turn but checks back all FDīs he shouldnīt have much more then 5% boats vs 95% flushes on river - ofc we donīt know how many flushes he vbets on river...

But i wonīt be to concerned about seeing boats in his spot too often.

Btw: What is the worst hand you guys would bet on river in his shoes for value against us (=we are here and are seen as a reg)?

Wouldnīt we c/r river with a boat mostly?I might cr some AT on flop but will flat lots of them early on against unknow - same counts for A6. So how can we look weak when we rep a range that nearly never can contain air but lots of trips etc. that we HAVE to turn into a bluff?

Think I like call more than the rest

Interessting...so you expect to be good 25%+ in average?

imo betting w/a boat > c/ring here

considering he's repping just 89xx yeah, call should be pretty good no?

He's probably going to expect us to be bluffing around 40% of the time bc ATxx is probably raising the flop leaving us with only A7xx and A6xx combos for value. Lots of TJKx and TJQx and Axxx that a decent hand reader would assume us to have. Not to mention he could be slowplaying boats on the turn a non-0 %.

I thought that he:
1). might (once in a while) bluff river for what ever reason
2). isnīt going to call with any hand that he isnīt going to bet himself (any flush?) - given that i can īt rep much air i am not sure he calls 98 versus a river lead (that might the only hand i see him checking back on river)

So sounds you think he bets no flush on river? Sorry if i miss something (or do you expect him to 2nd barrel any FD on turn)?

You're all on too high of a level. No one turns trips into a bluff and trips is almost the weakest hand we can have on the river, therefore he'll expect us to have a boat. Especially if both players have been playing tight and there have been no big bluffs so far. Seriously, I never get heroed by a flush early in a match against a tight player here.

Dont agree that trips is at the bottom of our range here? I do however agree that we look really strong when we raise that river. Do think it would be a good spot to turn a lot of hands into a bluff at this point, including trips.
