3/6 5 cards donk out Nutflush draw with overpair

UTG : $ 300
MP : $ 380
CO : $ 676
BU : $ 400
SB : $ 3000
BB: $ 400

Pre Flop: (pot: $9.00) Hero has A K K 8 2
UTG folds, MP raises to $21, CO, BU, Hero and BB calls

Flop: ($105, 5 players) Q 7 3
Hero bets $105, MP raises to $340, CO shoves $676, Hero ?

Actually was trying to balance my donk out range and was prepared to go broke with anyone of the shorter stacks but when the deeper pushed too, i dont think i have equity to call, probably facing a Set and some diamond draws that blocks my diamond draw.

But with hindsight now, maybe it is not the smartest thing to bet into 4 players.

So it is 260 to win 360 + 360 + 105 + 105 = 930. So 3.5:1 on the main and 1:1 on the side. let's say 30% equity on the main and 40% equity on the side.

and then 316 to win 316 on the side.

40% equity on the side means a loss of 63$.

but a gain of 95.5 on the main.

I say we gamble.

I dislike the flop lead, prefer a more cautious check and see what develops approach.

We might have less equity on the side if CO is just QQ+ here.

You should have the odds to get it in here. As a rule of thumb, getting it in with the nut flush draw 3way is normally ok - you also can spike set of kk, broadway or wheel as redraw. Also backdoor spades.

I don't like the choice to donk here, or the sizing.

donk folding this is lolbad, lucky for CO that he got his QQ all in on the flop "for free"

The decision of when to donk lead rather than CR for stacks is worth discussion. Here are my buzzwordy thoughts if others would like to build or share their own rationale:

1. Until i’m in a live game where I know players are actually really watching my tendencies (almost never) I prefer to CR for stacks almost always in Omaha, both for pure value and for fold equity (where actual money is made in Poker) to reduce visibility and equity shift issues on turns.

Example 1 you donk lead get called and turn comes flush and opponent easily folds, up to and including smaller flushes. This is the main reason why I prefer to bluff when donking. It can buy you initiative and the ability to barrel visible draws you don’t actually have.

Example 2 you donk lead and turn comes Jhearts and you just C/F? Or you commit your whole stack on an equity shift where you are now 75/25 (or worse 95/5 when the turn is a board pair and they have it) opponent with two pair plus straight draw or whatever gets to play perfectly.

Also, if to support the CR line, this isn't the worst flop in the world if it happens to check around. I'm getting it in here btw.

Xc will often be a reasonable option, especially since we do not always want to maximize fe.

Dislike donking, but as played can not see how we can fold this with backdoor straight and flush draw.
