- $5 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: 155.72 BB
MP: 204.2 BB
CO: 129.1 BB
BTN: 75.47 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 220.95 BB

Hero posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 8 J A A

UTG raises to 3.4 BB, MP calls 3.4 BB, fold, BTN calls 3.4 BB, Hero raises to 18 BB, BB calls 17 BB, UTG calls 14.6 BB, MP calls 14.6 BB, BTN calls 14.6 BB

Flop: (90 BB, 5 players) 5 8 K
Hero bets 82 BB and is all-in, fold, fold, MP calls 82 BB, fold

Turn: (254 BB, 2 players) T

River: (254 BB, 2 players) T

Not really sure how I should be playing this. I though since I have a blocker with the 8 and a nut flush draw blocker, that I have to rip it given how large the pot is. I can't really bet 1/2 my stack and fold. Check folding this board feels very week. But maybe it's the right play. Comments please.

Your hand probably has around 10/15% equity 5 ways on this flop (i.e. we don't want to put a penny more into the pot)

As a bluff, fair enough, you have good blockers but with 4 players left to act and less than a PSB it is pretty suicidal.

This is a home-made sim posted on 2p2 11 years ago. Who knows how sophisticated it is, but it gives one really good insight. In 250,000 sims where 6 players were all in, one pair was the winning hand <1%.

Over a sample of 250000 hands, I got the following distribution for the winning hand:

two pair .............. 3%
three of a kind .... 7%
straight .............. 26%
flush .................. 22%
full house .......... 36%
quads ................ 5%
straight flush ....... 1%

I repeated for a 6-max table and got the following results (again, over 250000 hands)

two pair ............. 10%
three of a kind ..... 11%
straight ............... 27%
flush ................... 21%
full house ............ 27%
quads ................. 3%
straight flush ........ 1%

check/fold vs 3+ callers unless you flop well. K high flops are not flopping well.

was it normal for flops to go 5 ways in 3 bet pots like this? seems more like a live game.

if so i'm not 3 betting these aces.

your blocker means nothing.
the spr is about 1. nobody is folding a halfway decent flush draw, and nobody is folding any flush draw with a pair/straight draw
