Villain is pretty active preflop, likes to play many pots, and mixes up his raises and limps. However, he can be very wide with his limps and slightly tighter with raises. Villain also is very call happy post, likes to take trapping lines, and likes to wait until later streets to put in raises. Very rarely bluffs post.

Hero has been playing pretty tight, but raising in position with hands that have good post flop potential, limping other playable hands. Hero is also pretty tight post, but takes stabs here and there and villain probably notices.

Effective stacks around 1200.

6 handed, villain limps utg, hero 18 with the good old J2/4PLO online, gross turnT2/4PLO online, gross turn72/4PLO online, gross turn62/4PLO online, gross turn from cutoff, big blind (190 effective) calls, villain calls.

Flop (56): T2/4PLO online, gross turn 52/4PLO online, gross turn 42/4PLO online, gross turn
Checks to hero who bets 46, big blind all in for 172, villain cold calls, hero calls?

Turn (572): T2/4PLO online, gross turn
Villain pots 572 almost instantly. We have a little over 400 if we call. What do we do? All in? Fold? Call and see a river?

Not potting flop is a travesty and this runout shows one of many reasons why.

As played fold turn is probably best versus described player. Both players have numerous A10x hands and small boat hands that together have you completely dogged. Or one has Aj107 and the other has higher diamonds is also very bad. You will fold the winner sometimes and don’t go on tilt when it happens.

Thanks for the reply guys! I guess I'm just used to calling in these spots hoping for a good turn, when in reality I should just be pot/getting it in.

I've still got a lot to learn about deep stacked PLO play.

GII seems pretty reckless, villain took two to the face on the flop I wouldn't be surprised if he had a monster

It's practically neutral EV..

You have about 27.5% versus a range of ATxx, T5, 44 and 55 and you will get paid if you hit so you are about 2.7 to 1 to hit which is pretty much exactly what you'll get paid.

jam flop. If villain had 55/44 he would have repotted when it got back to him, why let you see a cheap turn w your range? He probably has NFD+ sidecards, i'm never folding turn here.

Thanks for the replies all!

This was probably one of the tougher spots for me at these stakes with relatively deep stacks. I ended up calling turn and tilt calling river when it bricked. Villain had 44xx no blockers.

He's one of those types that like to see a safe card before putting in big money with a made hand.

This is way shipping the flop has two benefits, it makes you fold out 44 and semibetter hands, like JTxx+fd etc , by just calling they stick around and beat you.

Would cbet around 30 on flop. As played, clear call flop.
Turn is interesting, in my opinion a lot of tight players limps Nut suit (
ex A678dd which he needs to play that way also). Turn is good card for him cause you dont have many FHs in you range.
I put him on SD+Nut FD that's the reason I would play all in on turn, If he find the fold, that's good for you, he is probably around 20% against your hand and if you just call he could give up the river, because your call on turn seems so strong when you call it.
