UTG+1 (35/22/6) seems to be the spot at the table but I have only played 100 hands with him. I am almost certain that he is a losing player and I suspect that this is due to overaggressive flop tendencies / overvalues hand strength on the flop (only stat indications).

He also strikes me as the type that will lead a wide range on the turn if I check the flop and follow thru on a decent amount of rivers.

History: I have 3bet him one time before where he 4bets me and potted a dry flop (I folded). I have not seen him go crazy in any big pots

What is your action on the flop and plan for the rest of the hand?
Is a bet better with or without A in our hand?

Just b/f 2/3 pot. The bet is better with As in our hand because:

A. We will be raised less often.
B. Our equity vs raising range is worse when we have As.

C. We can rep spades more credibly on future streets

I think the As makes bet/folding this flop more easy since he can't have the NFD which is included by a decent part of his x/shoving range, imo. So his range is less draws and more value I think.
Also if he just x/c we can rep nutspades which is another benefit of having the As here.

Tough spot imo. I think the advice given is sound. Still b/f feels so dirty when his range of 2p/sets should be tiny utg. Especially as he might be shipping to light given reads. Not Sold yet.

A check seems solid, you have a gutter+ bdf and his range is wide + he's v agr and you're not really happy getting it in here.

Really close between betting and checking here. The fact that you say he's a losing player just due to this overaggression on the flop kinda makes me wanna check here, but at the same time it's really hard for people to raise light this deep no matter who they are. I'd probably have to say check though with the BDFD and the gutshot since we have a ton of equity, but still can't quite call a raise. Is always nice to have some showdown value in our flop checking range against aggro players too, to keep him from bet/betting us every time the turn and river bring blanks.

i like checking back and b/f. imo its really close between this both and you are not making a big mistake no matter witch option you chose

If you do check this flop. (Hero:A 5 4 A Flop: J 3 7)

On what Spade turns are you calling a standard sized lead?
Do you turn your hand into a bluff on any spade if checked to?

If checked to on a spade I think I'll bet almost always b/c we rep a FD pretty well however I don't think we can bluff him off a flush if he leads the turn into us since there aren't very many nutflushdraws in our flop checking range, right? So if we raise a turnlead on a spade or call turn/raise river we kinda rep nothing imo.
