10/10 PLO, interesting hand, tough river spot

The game is 10/10, i just came to the game, was playing 5/5 before, but the action in the 10/10 was to be heard across the room .. chips were flying !!!

So, i play this hand against a reg, he's usually classic TAG, good player. Today he's drinking and apparently playing way looser than usual, he was in all kinds of hands, sometimes even raising in the dark pre and stuff

Now the hand: He put in 30 pre (in the dark) from middle position, 2 guys limp ahead of him, now the action stands, i have direct position on him, raise it up to 130, one limper calls the 130, villain calls the 130 also.

My stack is around 2 K, he has me covered.

Flop comes down Q-6-4, with 2 clubs, i have dry aces with no clubs (aa102 with nut hearts, not relevant for the hand)

Pot is 520, first limper checks, villain leads very small for 140. I call.
Any other options than calling here? I obv can't fold for that amount, and raising with one guy behind me, also not knowing what villain has, seems to be wrong. so call. or?
other guy folds.

Turn 6h, board now Qs 6c 4c 6h, pot is 700
Villain tanks for a while, then leads for 390

Again, i think i can't really fold here, my hand improved to top2 pair, he could play any kind of combo fl or str draw, still i think i can't raise, since he could have a boat already (or trips). Agreed?

River another 4, board now Qs 6c 4c 6h 4s, pot is 1480
Villain asks the dealer how much is in the pot (normally he knows exactly what's in there, as i said, good reg), dealer announces 1480, Villain announces: 800. He then counts the chips, and puts them in

What's my play here? Calling, hoping he was bluffing all the way?
Simple fold, because he either caught a 6 or a 4 with his str draw?
Putting him on queens all along? Somehow i was really lost in the hand

Spoiler:

Re: 10/10 PLO, interesting hand, tough river spot

There are poker games and then there are poker games. Action poker games against drunk people are the latter.

You said you came from a 5/5 game over to a 10/10 game. You didn't indicate how much money/bullets you had on you which is critical in deciding how risk adverse you should be. Players dream about finding an action game, and not only an action game, but one where drinking and dark raising are factors. You need to figure out how you want to proceed before you even sit down.

I absolutely positively want to realize my equity against a drinking player in a hand like this THEREFORE I am raising all in on the turn.

i prefer a flat pre, the entire table is still to act except the guy who raised blind. we can just fold the flop, we're not closing the action and have very few favorable turns

Re: 10/10 PLO, interesting hand, tough river spot

Weird hand but you have a great bluff catcher on river not blocking a single semi-bluff card so for that price, call should be ok. Even with villain value betting 4xxx.

Villain has a very hard time repping trips or better on turn after that small sizing - so raise might actually be best line to deny equity from all the weird weak draws he has - when he continues you can decide to give up or barrel based on your read - again based on our initial conclusion he is not that strong we may keep blasting to fold out non nut flushes, boats and trips.

We can talk more about what we think leading range consists of from this player, but i would assume very few monsters - top of range might be nut flush draw with very weak additional equity or like a 3rd club, weak top and bottom, 1p + sd. Most of the range will be 1p and weak draws or 1p and weak blockers, just weak 1p anything.

Stronger hands do much better betting large or checking with the intention of sometimes raising but also often trapping.

Oh, and not blocking kkxx is also quite nice for call.

Re: 10/10 PLO, interesting hand, tough river spot

I think putting a spoiler here in immediately will hurt your chances of getting meaningful feedback.

As played, I somewhat hate the flop call to that sizing. I think we can raise small - $420 and if we encounter a cold 3b, we can get away from our hand on the flop. If we manage to get a call from the drunk guy, we can ship safe turns.

Turn play...... This is safe enough to jam. I will likely lead out with QQxx and 66xx but super small to induce or keep them in the pot. Q6xx makes sense to get value and protect when a big card rolls off the river. Most players will check though. I think that this bet is somewhat suspect. I would gii here.

River. You have 3 combos that beat you here and the only one that makes sense by his line is 44xx. I would have to call it off here.

Hmm ... that (folding) def hadn't crossed my mind. But you have a point

@monicrazy:
Yeah, i think raising turn is prob the best play (if i don't fold flop), although i have position, im always kind of lost in the hand, and open up myself to be bluffed on the river (as happened); def would have done that if i wasn't that deep

@martink: don't understand, what do you mean?

I play every street the same as you except for a desperation call on the river. Not knowing how much is in the pot is a small tell suggesting he more likely doesn't have anything than does.

Chad is leveling all you guys, so better stop posting here guys.
@Chad
This hand is a level because you are the guy who is drinking and raising in the dark.
I am not sure why you are posting this here. I was at the table with you and I saw the hand against the another guy (his name is irrelevant but OP try to tell us he is this guy, but he is NOT him 100%.)
So Chad you are trying to figure out how will be the best play against yourself in this spot...LOL!!

Buddy ... i knew you had some serious issues, but whew ... ;-))

Unless you were in New York i don't see how you could have been on that table and witness the hand, but hey, you posted lots of BS before, so i actually shouldn't be surprised.

LOL after the Thread, I am sure you mean your self with your psychlogical problem.
I don't know how many accounts do you have here, maybe you answer you self with another account here but anyway, nice try to get me here involved into your BS...
@All another guys.
Chad is a guy who plays a lot of PLO in Vegas and New York but right now, he is Germany in Wiesbaden and play with me a lot livepoker 5/5 and also 10/10 blinds right now. I am 100% sure he is this guy and also I am sure he has many fake-acconuts here
After some nice conversation at the beginning, he don't speak with me anymore. His plan is to make some psycho-game with me at the table and right now also here in this forum.
This is gotting very crazy right now guys..
He don't respect me at the table. One time he ask, if a part of the chips are relevant in play and I answer yes but than he said: I don't ask you, I ask the dealer.
So this guy has really a problem with me: Yesterday I was involved in a big pot and had to make a big decision for 2.5k..he was asking for time. I was in the tank maybe for 1 and a half minute or so.
I am not sure why he is doing this whole BS to me, but I never have any poroblems with another guys in poker. He try to make his problems to my problems..
Really serious stuff here.

This is getting really funny now ... i don't know this guy you are talking about, but i have to say, i like him already ;-)

Anyways, (and this is me being serious now): Go get some help buddy. I don't know what you are talking about or what kind of fantasy land you are living in, but you are obviously mentally unstable.

Are you sure this is a real life game you are talking about? Or are you may be playing some kind of video game?

Whatever ... out of respect to the other guys here who want to talk poker and strategy and stuff i'll end this conversation with you now. Again, get help.

Re: 10/10 PLO, interesting hand, tough river spot

LOL.
You need help obviosuly. Some guys read this thread from Wiesbaden and they know me better than you do. You creat a new account to put your crazy s*** on me here. And now you try to tell everybody here and outside this forum that I am stupid, a sick psycho and need help. Is this how your try to handle people who don't want anything from you?? You are sick guy, you really are.
I don't really know what is your problem Fred. That is your name.
If you don't talk to me, its your issue but try to be respecful at the table at least.
I play with you because I can't change this anyway but stop write some b*** here about me and about anything what has to do with me.
Some people know me here and I don't need any proof that this is real and the true.
So stop thinking you have some kind of benefit here.
Maybe you know I am a better player than you and you will try to put me down with your psycho game here and at the table BUT you will fail...

Ok, enough games.
This will be my final post re this topic, so better read carefully Martin:

a) Yes, you finally got it, it's me, Fred.
I gave you so many hints, that i was beginning to doubt there is any intelligence at all inside your head.
b) You talk about respect at the table????????? Oh my *** God!!!
As you know ive been playing for some years, and ive never seen anybody so disrespectful at the table (not only to me, but others also) than you. It's disgusting. Do you even know how much people laugh about you behind your back???
c) In the beginning i even tried to help you, tried to talk some sense into you, but no, the "big" Martin knows everything better, no help necessary, so i said, fine, let him do his thing.
But then, playing like you do, and calling out others people's game, in a way, that is really beyond ... the thing is, im sure, you don't even realize how stupid that is.

But anyway: Now the "sides" are at least clear, that's fine with me. A friendly advice (my last one) though: I'll treat everyone at the tables with the utmost respect, even a moron like you, because at the end i know i will get your money. But if you ever insult me or talk **** about me at the table again, i will explain my "viewpoint" to you in great detail. That's a promise.

Before looking at spoiler, I like how you played this hand. Call flop is mandatory. I don’t like any other option. Turn and riv are obv bricks and great cards for you. I’d call turn and try and soulread riv. Prob fold if villain isn’t capable of a triple barrel bluff with some combo of Qccxx

LOL @at your last post chad.
But at least you are honest. I don't care how some people think about me or about my game or anything else.
I can't change anyway what they think. And I have a life outside of poker and people know me for years there and know me better than any pokerplayer do.

But your last post show me how deep your problem is.
You think here its all about me BUT its not, its all about you. You seems to have a help-syndrom and a obsession.
You created a fake account here to try talk with me here because in reality, you don't talk any word with me.
I know who I am and I don't need any help from you.
And LOL that you think you can win money from me with you TAG nit ABC play..And it is all what you want win money and try to put me down.
Nice try anyway.

This hand is still a level guys and this guy here chad is somekind of stupid.

And I don't really care about your problem Fred. I don't care about the pokerpeople and the people in the casino at all..They are all lost. I can stop playing poker and do something else, something better..But I like to play poker, make some action and have fun. But I need no help and I don' need the money. And I don't care if you win money or somebody else.
The people in the casino are all the same, people with somekind of problems, big egos and big lies.
And they all talk about another people s** because they can't reflect his own problems honestly.
Maybe I have some problems too, but I give a f*** what some people think about me and my problems.

Re: 10/10 PLO, interesting hand, tough river spot

I see, when i let you guys continue without commenting, i'll end up being Charles Manson and Martin being Ghandi, so, fine, one last post - and some simple facts:

@monikrazy:
Cyberstalking, harassing ... really? For what? Creating an account without my real name and commenting on hands? I didn't know your real name was monikrazy, but hey, learned something again. And re being banned potentially: Couldn't care less, won't post here anymore anyways.

@martin:
Yes, you are correct, i saw a guy struggling, with poker, with tilt issues and prob so much more ... so i decided to (try to) help, that was my first instinct.
You calling that "helper-syndrom" only shows your really small-minded and pretty pathetic worldview, i actually feel sorry for you now.

But of course you don't have to accept that help, that's your choice, fine with me ... but "paying me back" by the way you behaved at the tables, that's totally unacceptable and really pissed me off;
- commenting on my play
- commenting on other people's play
- insulting me, calling me names
- trying to provoke me even more, after you realized that i wasn't willing to engage or talk to you anymore

- but your "greatest achievement":
you actually influenced the outcome of a hand, it was a 3way pot, you folded, and after that started to comment about your own hand, WHILE I WAS STILL IN THE HAND PLAYING WITH THE OTHER GUY!!!
That's not only totally beyond, it's also not allowed, and after i called you out on it, you still didn't realize your mistake, let alone apologize or anything ... even after the floor was called over and explained to you the same thing, you still didn't get it. Yep, you are a great poker player, i can clearly see that now.

So, yes, i was pissed then, and decided, to create this account and have a little fun commenting your stupid **** ... and i gave you so many hints, who i really was, by talking about stuff that i could only knew if i was actually at that same table, but you didn't get it. So i decided to describe that crazy hand very much in detail while you where at the table also, actually as a test, wondering if you would now be able to see it ... and yes, your stupidity apparently had its limits, you finally got it.

Now, to finish on a positive note:
I couldn't care less if you win 100 million in poker or go broke, i really don't care. And if you leave me alone, don't talk to me anymore, and, most importantly, don't interfere with my working environment on the table (as i have described above multiple times), then all is good. But if you don't, be prepared, that every action has consequences. I hope i have made myself clear.

I report you to the mods and mods will take a look over here. I don't want anything from you!!
You have a big problem with me not only here but also in reality at the tables.
I have never had any problems with guys at poker or at my job like with you, I don't care what you think about me. You have obviously a problem and try to move it to me. I don't care.
Play you game and be respectful and I will be respecful too. Thats all what I try to say.
Nothing more!!!

I don't understand why it matters how he wants to post the hand? If he wants advice how to play vs himself, fine by me. Not sure why anyone would care.

But since the strat discussion has already run its course, /thread.
