Playing $1/$3 PLO at the casino, 5-handed. A couple of players are "blind raising" to $10 preflop (this isn't actually a straddle, since it's not live).
Hero ($200, BTN) is dealt AAA9r
Everyone else on the table has stack sizes between $300 and $1500 and most of them are incredibly loose/stationy.
SB posts $1
BB posts $3
UTG blind raises to $10
CO calls $10
Hero ???
LOL. I pot it and pray I gii heads up pre (or five way, whatever). If they all just call, evaluate flop. Easy enough to get away from on terrible flops; easy enough to shove on others.
For $200 in a 1/3/10 game, this is pretty much a gambling hand for me.
LOL. Lots. I don't want to see them very connected from 8-Q and paired flops can suck, but that's about it. Any low cards, unconnected cards, etc., are good. Would LOVE to see an A! Prefer rainbow, but not that big of a deal.
I'm probably going for it on most flops, regardless, but at least you have position and can make a choice. Honestly, it's $200 in a 1/3/10 PLO game. Have some fun or cash out.
Only time I did this (only chance I've had for not much money) was all in pre for $350 effective vs. a player going in blind and one who looked. Won the pot vs. who knows what and a JT97 rundown. I did have one suit, but my AA(A) held. Life is good.
