Just getting back into PLO after 7 years away... Playing full ring live game with very loose play, a ton of pre flop raising, and multiway to flop always

Hero has $400, V1 (older, loose but not anything out of line aggro wise) and V2 (old, very loose, and doesn't like to get pushed around) $1000+

I've been playing very tight and have only shown down AAxx thus far...

V1 ep raises to 15. Folds around to hero on button with AA43 ds. I elect to call. (thought I wanted blinds to come along and play 4 handed from button, but should have 3 bet?) .

SB folds and V2 calls in BB. Flop comes Qx6x2. I don't have FD or the BDFD. V2 in BB leads pot, V1 folds. I have overpair and hidden gutshot, thinking he leading any Q 2 pair, or Q plus flush so I call.

roughly 140 in pot with 330 remaining. Turn is the blank 5, making my straight. Villain bets 100 into 140, I raise all in, he thinks and then calls.

Thought on preflop decision? Flop call ok?

Result was he had KQ95 with FD, made 2 pair on turn, and rivered the flush

I would pretty much always 3-bet this pre. Would much rather play a bigger pot heads up than go multi way, especially if I wanted to continue on boards where I don't have much other than an overpair.

In a hyper aggro table with a lot of 3b'ing going on, there can be merit in just calling. But in this instance, your reasoning for wanting a call is misguided.

As a general rule of thumb, it's hard to make a mistake by 3b/4b'ing pre with AAds and pot/calling flop with a post flop spr of <2.5

You can make it roughly 55 pre so please do.
You want to be heads up in position.
Assuming one caller pot would be roughly 115 with 345 behind giving an SPR of under 3 which means pot flop and turn, if he bets into you just shove.

Yeah what other players said. If players are squeeze happy behind, there's merit to flat calling to try and get stacks in preflop, but given players (and you being 80 bb effective), the standard play is to just start jamming immediately.
