Sigh, we just didn't make enough plays. Those drops in the first half were ****ing awful.

Would be nice if we had 1 RB as good as LSU's top 4 or 5

Pretty awesome atmosphere in the first half, but once we started ****ting the bed it got a lot less fun obv.

In a way, the first half was kind of our undoing though. A hallmark of the 2011 Georgia Bulldogs has been an inability to convert our good play and opponents' mistakes into points (minus Auburn and GT). Against teams on the caliber of Kentucky and Florida, this has just lead to a bunch of games where we did really well statistically but only won by a touchdown or two. We always thought, well, it's fine, we played a lot better than the score shows and we got the W which is all that matters. Which is true.

But when you're playing the #1 team in the country, and a defensive powerhouse no less, and one with a decided special teams advantage, you absolutely MOST get more than ten points out of three visits inside their 30 in the first quarter. And you can't drop passes that should be picks or touchdowns. We could have still been in the game after some of the Q3 mishaps. Instead, the guys were just completely demoralized after losing a lead that was so hard fought and dominant so quickly, and made some really idiotic mistakes (after they throw a PI flag you get an unsportsmanlike and negate it? ffs!).

Murray seemed off after the first quarter, and missed a ton of passes even when he wasn't under a huge amount of pressure. His fumble, and the inability to cover punt returns, were just devastating.


Ah well, the future is bright.

felt pretty good about UGA +14 for 25 minutes of the game.

Thought my crazy prediction was going to come true there for a while. When Mitchell dropped that easy TD you could see the air go out of the sails. And on Mathieu's return TD(that wasn't really) the ref's arms were in the TD signal position when the dude was still on the five.

he's pretty ridiculous. If Crowell can get his act together they would be such a sick tandem...like when CJ Spiller and James Davis were at Clemson.

Jenkins apparently sticking around. Lots of pieces coming together for next year--we really ought to be pretty sick, and the schedule is obviously insanely soft.

Driving down to Tampa tomorrow for the game. Super excited. I bought the tickets weeks ago and it was already almost sold out, so the atmosphere should be much better than the empty Liberty Bowl last year.

Last year my wife bought the tickets and unknowingly got them on the UCF side. I took care of the tickets this year

Lame game. Kind of typical of the season, letting teams you should blow out hang in it. Finally got burned.

I was surprised by how empty it looked too. I know two students who were denied the opportunity to buy student tickets for the game.

But yeah, the game itself was pretty damned frustrating. When we made it to the 6 or whatever in the first quarter and failed to score that basically set the tone. Centering the ball on second down in OT was just...wow.

Anyone else sick of bobo? Or does anyone want to try to convince me that that he is worth a damn?

Sick of him, but it's hard to fire him. Bobo isn't great but he's probably not terrible. Certainly a way better OC than Martinez was DC.

The issue to me is this: replacing Martinez with Grantham has been such an amazing turnaround--the defense went from being consistently mediocre to one of the nation's best--that this just kind of proves the results that are possible with the ridic talent UGA has access to. Seems like we ought to strive for something like that on offense, and it seems like keeping Bobo around ain't gonna make that happen.

Yeah Bobo is so-so. But really the missed FG in OT lost that game. Probably shouldn't been in that position to begin with though. Murray's picks didn't help either.

Next season should be a repeat to the SEC championship. Really liking the depth at RB we're going to have. And Murray should keep improving, plus better defense. Looking good, can't wait for next year.

I love Grantham and think Bobo is ok but both have wtf moments. CMR also obv. That kneel down on 2nd down was ****ing hilarious. As was the defense on spartys last drive in regulation. And the offense the entire 2nd half and OT.
