Is it really going to cost $300/ticket for this SEC championship game? Want to go, but I guess we'll see. Spending $300 to sit upper deck of GA Dome is brutal. I'll be hammered by kickoff either way, so might just save my money for the trip to the Sugar Bowl once we win.

Not a beautiful win to say the least (although holding your opponent to 165 yds is never bad), but I really don't care. Aaron Murray sure is hot and cold...wow.

If we beat tech we'll have beaten all of our main rivals--definitely can't complain about that kind of season.

I was expecting a bit of a letdown after the big win over the evil Auburn, (joke; You know how to get to Auburn? Go south until you smell it, then west until you step in it.), and for Kentucky to be pumped to try to play the spoiler. Bobo called a real conservative game plan and the defense won this game. It was good to see Walsh go 4/4 on FGs and nail the one XP.

Hope Crowell isn't hurt too bad. He's getting a "soft" reputation. He needs to lay off the ganja and hit the weight room.

Sounds like Crowell will be back for GT..or should I say a couple plays for GT :/

Think you guys are being too hard on the dude. He's a true freshman running back going through an SEC schedule as the featured guy, and basically the lone guy. It almost never happens because the guy almost makes it through the season healthy or productive. Other than Hershel Walker. Even Lattimore missed like 3 games.

It's good to finally be able to tell juniors that there is something to play for senior year if they come back. Pretty much exactly the opposite of last season.

Is there any scenario where we don't play LSU in the SEC Championship Game? I was trying to figure it out, but the 3-way tiebreakers got a bit confusing esp when the 3 teams will all be within 5 spots in the BCS negating the last tiebreaker (I think).

One interesting thing I did note was that the BCS Championship game could consist of two SEC teams with neither of them actually being the SEC Champion. Go Dawgs!

If LSU gets beat by Arky and Bama gets beats by AU, then we will play Arky.

I don't see how we wouldn't get a shot if we beat LSU, but apparently we wont ether way. I think our best chance would be to play bama in the SEC and beat them and maybe get a shot at LSU in big game. Remember when UGA finished # 2 and we weren't really considered for NC game because we didn't win our conference, Apparently this doesn't apply to LSU/Bama. It also helps LSU/Bama that all the other teams failed.

TBF, we did have 2 bad losses that year so really didn't have much argument in 2002. Just shows how big that South Carolina loss was this year. It's funny how if we make a play or w/e and win that game how much the media would be on UGAs nuts right now.

It really is a shame that we didn't win that South Carolina game, but we've got a chance to be a top 10 team playing in the SEC Championship so tough to complain about the way this season unfolded.

Bama cant play in SEC championship. Basically if they beat AU, they will most likely play for NC.

The odds of UGA playing in the MNC are roughly 0%. I think winning your conference is fairly unimportant in the grand scheme of things.

Worried about TB. No word on Thomas right now--pretty frustrating to have a breakout performance vs Auburn in far and away the best game of the season then break some rule. Still no word if he'll be back for Tech or ever. Crowell just gets hurt way too easily.

Yeah I thought there was a shot (which would require a sick parlay of events), but after looking at the BCS I don't think a 2 loss UGA team passes a 2-loss Oklahoma team (that just beat OK State) or even a 2-loss Alabama team (that just lost to Auburn) even if we crush an undefeated LSU team in the SEC championship. Pretty sure we don't pass an undefeated Houston team either.

Bama can play in the SECCG. They beat Auburn and Arky beats LSU and the BCS has LSU 3rd of Bama/Arky/LSU.

Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking when I went through the tiebreakers. That seems like a real legit possibility. Interesting. I'd prefer to play Bama only b/c my little sister is a freshman there so I can crush her Nat'l Championship dreams.

#2 in the nation rushing defense(UGA 81.3 ypg) vs. #2 in the nation rushing offense(GT 323.5 ypg). Should be real slobberknocker. UGA's offense will be the difference. Tech won't be able to stop them while UGA's defense can. The only worry is the tailback depth, everybody's hurting. Murray will probably have a big game with close to 330 yards and 2-3 TDs as they'll need to pass more if Crowell can't play the whole game.
