I heard months ago on Prime Time sports that the only reason Rogers owned the team still is that the big man wanted it, and that without his influence, it would've been gone (or they'd have never bought it in the first place). Take it for what it's worth, but I doubt they'll hold on to the team for much longer now that Ted Rogers has died.
Glad we didn't pay Burnett a gazillion the way he is pitching this year.
Rios. His OBP is .159 and OPS .392. He must be a fan favourite in Chi town, especialy with all that hustle.. Glad we are not paying a cent for this anymore.
The White Sox have seen Alex Rios chase down fly balls, make accurate throws and display the ability to hit home runs off formidable pitchers such as American League Cy Young Award candidate Zack Greinke. But in the eyes of three scouts who have seen him dating back to previous years in Toronto, those abilities might be as good as it gets for the Sox. "He's a teaser," one National League scout said Sunday. "He can get you fired."
Carlson > Posada, though there wasn't much of a fight to speak of. Mind you, if there's anything stupider than retaliating for an accident at someone who wasn't even involved, I'm not sure what it is (though Carlson has probably done it). These two teams have a pretty long history of hostilities, actually. Too bad we're not as good as them; that would make it all a lot more fun.
