Jason Bay would be awesome. If even he stunk like Rios then everyone would still love him.

if they told Halladay this would he not consider staying or is he dead set on leaving? I mean with that sort of payroll you have to consider yourself a contender even if it is the AL East

Not feeling good about this one after what the Yankees did to our other lefty. Romero might give up 10 runs in 3 innings.

Now only if only snider, dopirak come up.

In sept with dopirak/ruiz at 1b, and other playing dh, with snider playing rf.

Our offense will be for once be above average and we can win!

Hill walks every full moon, he swings at everything, hence he strikes out alot.
Burnett has a good curveball

So Therefore

Burnett will strikeout Hill on down and away curveballs alot

ya but Hill also cost us the run by not turning the DP. That's a lot of suck for 2 innings.

I'm not one to cheer for injuries but Jeter has been killing us this series, it's good that he's sitting down.

so we're good at getting singles. Cashing them in is another story. This is sad.

GOOD HUSTLE EDWIN.

Now I realize I'm turning into GREEEAR and using this thread as my personal Jays Twitter account but I don't mind, it boosts my postcount and I'll get a good laugh next time I dislike an Entourage episode and someone busts out the "OMG YOU HAVE 5K POSTS ON A MESSAGE BOARD YOU MUST SUCK AT LIFE."

thought i might include this quote, again, for more fun..

p.s. my Tribe always seems to play .600 baseball after giving away the house every year, maybe the Jays do too?

Geddy...if you knew they were going to literally GIVE away Rios when you made that post, would you be happy about it?

Snider and Dopisomething guy have been killing the PCL these last few days. Wouldn't mind seeing them in the big leagues considering we aren't playing for anything.

Millar is clutch to the team clubhouse, his .215 avg and 600ops is vital to the team. Millar is a "veteran" who is great in the clubhouse.

hi regs

any thoughts about whether we can (should?) try and sign Scutaro.

My guess is he's like to parlay this season into a 3 or 4 year deal. What kind of $$ are we looing at?? 3.5M per, or more???

his approach at the plate all year has been awesome. His patience and stroke has lead to a great OBP, and his defence has been very good (I have not looked at any metrics, but he certainly has not been a liability, and I am hard pressed to think of any poor throws this year).

So, can the Jays afford him, or will he hit the market at such an over-valued price that we can't (and shouldn't) compete with??
