My public apologies to Gary Wise, thebigeasy et al ITT for some pretty lame recent posts. Those who know me from the other threads know that it is not normally my nature. In the future I will endeavor to be more positive and to let issues go.
I think AA views hitters as set pieces once they reach the Show and pitchers as trade pieces and extremely volatile/unpredictable/injury prone.
Pitchers tend to be very projectable in the draft all the way up to the majors while hitters are anything but. However after a couple years of success in the majors a pitcher can flame out and start to suck while a hitter tends to stay good way more often, or at least that's how I interpreted his draft strategy(and to a lesser extent trade strategy) and think it makes sense.
