Interesting comparison... Both in almost identical spots... Similar height over the wall, both in blue Jay blowouts.

Pillar gets the edge for me because I think it was a harder hit ball and he had less time. Rajai was able to slow down and time his jump Better than Pillar.

if the jays score 0 runs every game he pitches, then sanchez may very well lose 90% of his starts

Sanchez throwing 80% fastballs is disconcerting.

Does anyone know how the MLB At Bat App compares to PitchFX for strikes/balls?

5.3% SwStr
Man Sanchez has "filthy stuff"

3 Walks last night, could have had 6 or 7, on top of 4-5 pitches that he completely air-balled

It works for Bartolo Colon, but he knows where his piches are going.

No clue

david price also throws like 80% fastballs, that's not the issue.

its how he throws the fastball obviously, he's still learning, he shouldn't even be here right now.

give the guy a break lol he's just a kid

I can accept kids failling/struggling..

But the odds/evidence is that Sanchez will fail miserably as a starter right now.

Unless he
1. Learns to command/control the ball better(less walks)
or
2. Learns to get Swinging Strikes(get more strikeouts!).

He might get better at one of those two in the future, but the the odds are against him doing it in 2015 in the majors.

I disagree, Rajai slowing down makes it more awesome. Pillar ran back to the wall as fast as he could and made an incredible catch, without time to think. Rajai realized the ball was going to be around the top of the wall so he waited about 20 feet from the wall and timed it perfectly which makes it all the more incredible as if he ran back to the wall quickly and then jumped he would not have caught it. Also, Rajai is shorter so him getting up to the same height is more impressive.

Jays continue to get the least amount of runs out of whatever walks/hits they get while allowing the other team to get the most amount of runs out of their walks/hits.

BTW, am I the only Jays fan who thinks Joey Bats is actually a selfish hitter. I seldom if ever see him approach an at bat with a plan other than a pulled HR in mind.

(And, not sure why he is not recognizing that he is getting under every pitch he swings at. If you measured his fly-out outs by height, he must lead the league).

Have to disagree re: JBats' approach. His willingness to go the other way was the reson for his mini-resurgence last year. Could be getting away from that a bit though.
