I'd make that bet, but I don't gamble. Kid is too big and unpredictable. I feel that Alvarez should be getting more headlines than Lawrie after that game however.

Anyone remember this game? The last one of the 2005 season... Jays were at home closing out the schedule against the Royals in a mean-nothing game... McGowan comes in during the 8th and strikes out four straight batters to finish it off. Massive standing ovation from the faithful left in the stands.

I remember thinking, holy crap, this guy is going to be a huge stud!
