Almost all of my predictions go horribly wrong in SE, so here's one more, although I think this one is a lock:

As long as Alex Rios wears a Toronto Blue Jays uniform, he will never be as good as the hype surrounding him.

Aaron Hill WHAT A BEAST!!!
Agreed. Rios may never fill the hype, but he's still a solid player on the team. Between his SB's, feilding, and batting I think he's a definite keeper and adds to the team even if he's been playing like **** for 25 games this year, and is making $. I think him and Wells would definitly benifit from a real 4 spot batter on the team so they could move to more natural spots in the lineup though. I mean dude was in the ASG like 2 years ago.

And yeah Aron Hill is the f'in man. This team's gonna be so sexy next year once pitching staff comes back, and some of the youngins get some more expereince.

Btw what do you guys think are the most pressing needs to fill out the roster for next year if everyone comes back healthy? Right now we're looking at this amirite?

SP-Halliday
SP-Marcum
SP-Litche
SP-McGowan
SP-Romero

Backups-Jansen, Richmond, Tallet, Cecil, Mills

RP-League, Carlson, Tallet, Downs

1-SS-Scutaro
2-2B-Hill
3-RF-Rios
4-CF-Wells
5-DH-Lind
6-LF-Snider
7-1B-Overbay
8-3B-Roland
9-C-Barajas

Will the pitching be enough to give us a legit chance at the PO's or do we need to make some more moves? The way things have been going looks like a pretty solid line-up imo. I wouldn't mind seeing Snider move up the batting order, and maybe a 1B prospect.

Love Scutaro but I don't see him keeping this up for long. We should probably go after a legit leadoff hitter. And I think Snider, and Lind to a lesser extent, has the ability to be the legit cleanup hitter we need.

Just wanted to add that having Scutaro bunt with 1 out was genius - and yeah, mainly because it worked out. Great to see Cito put faith in his hot hitters like Hill. With our good hitting ballclub, these aggressive moves are going to win us some games.

You forgot about Frasor as a reliever and if Richmond keeps pitching the way he is, he may replace Litsch.
Also it is Rolen not Roland and keep Snider hitting in the #9 hole.

That 2010 roster looks pretty inaccurate imo, we have one catcher in AAA who will be our starting catcher in 2010, and might even be our starter mid this summer. His name is jp arencibia, and also the SP will be a big ?

I have no idea what the contract situation is like for the team, wanted to get some feedback if that looked close to accurate.

I'm not sure JP has shown he'll be our catcher next yera or this year. He's hitting .227% on the year, and really hasn't shown the ability to draw walks either at this point.

Yeah, Arencibia's path to the majors is not so clear. The guy never takes a walk and strikes out a lot. Now, he's got the power, of course, but he's far from a lock to be on the roster in 2010. Especially since I'm not convinced that JP can even appreciate the merits of a player who hits for such a low BA, even if that player is a catcher who could hit 30 bombs.

Jays fans also thought Curtis Thigpen would be the future starter too. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'....

Thigpen got traded to Oakland, and as a prospect he wasn't anywhere as high as Arencibia was thought of

unless he gets go underrated to the point that he is better than the hype surrounding him.

Looks like people are losing faith in him rather quickly...which is justifiable i guess.
