litsch will be back by the end of the week though.
on an unrelated note, myself and my girlfriend are in toronto for the canada day weekend series vs. philly. anyone wanna meet up for a beer? or a game i guess, though I assume seats near the tickets we booked last weekend are long gone by now.
Is it time for Drabek to go down and find the strike zone?
It is frustating watching the Jays run up 7, 8 or 9 runs in one game (with everyone hitting), only to turn around and watch the whole team suck at the plate the next game.
I had been optimistic about the starting pitching and bullpen, but other than middle relief things are not looking good.
Jose. Swing slower... seems the only thing he has changed is that he is trying to murder the ball...
I have said it before, but it is worth saying again. Is there anyone except the BlueJays management who thought Aaron Hill was going to be better than your average 2nd basemen? He just doesn't have the tools at the plate or the plate discipline. He'll be a .260 hitter with a sucky OBP until he is a utility player somewhere, and I am not sure how the Jays didn't know this.
hill is an excellent defensive 2b, and probably a slightly below league average hitter who's shown flashes of brilliance. utility player is a massive stretch.
not sure where you want to put them. If Snider is in the lineup, Patterson is probably out. If Drabek or Cecil were doing well, Jojo is probably the oddman, and he's been the 2nd best starter so far.
Plus you could exchange those 3 names for mostly any team, as everybody goes through something like this.
