I know what you're saying. I'm a rays fan and the entire time i was thinking "how the **** is this guy STILL out there". When the bases were loaded for the first time was when he needed to be pulled. The only guy he really got out was Upton (who sucks), and the pitch he "struck" Pena out on was right in his wheelhouse. The umpires were an absolute joke in this game.

Adam Loewen has showed drastic improvents over his 1.3 minor league seasons as a hitter so far.

He went from a 650 ops last year in dunedin(a+) to 875 ops in new hampshire(aa) and he has been on a tear the last 2 weeks or so. He already has better stats then ankiel did as a hitter in AA, Loewen is a much more patient hitter, and not a hacker like ankiel is.

Lets hope he makes it!

Loewen is hitting 288/384/494 with a respectable 23/45 bb/k ratio with 7 hrs, and 8/2 sb/cs ratio. Which is pretty freakin good for someone with 1.3 seasons of minor league hitting.

Tabler (or maybe Martinez, whatever) was talking about how great Bautista's defense has been this year, and then they showed a sign that read something to the effect of "Hey #19: TAKE A BALL". The announcers took a second or two to figure out what that meant and then just passed.

Pretty funny. Bautista has a 15% walk rate this year though, so maybe a bit misplaced? He has a 24% K rate though. Maybe fair.
