Overall, I think 5-2 on that road trip is just about as well as could be expected. The Jays continue to hit the cover off the ball, and now have a +29 run differential, best in the majors. One game up on the O's, and 2.5 on the Yankees. Team batting average of .317, almost 20 points higher than the next team.
The Jays are now home for 3 and 3 against the A's and Rangers. The A's are showcasing some young arms, as Outman, Cahill and Braden will start the three game set. Jays will counter with Purcey, Tallet and Romero. The A's aren't hitting the ball particularly well right now, so I would think that anything less than two victories in this series would be a disappointment.
3-0 in series wins so far is probably the most telling stat. Hopefully they keep it rolling.
