I might have said, "I love you Roy," after he struck out the side.

Doc at 3-0, pretty sick imo.

It's nice to see that, in addition to attending a few BOS@TOR games each year, Geddy is also a 2p2 lurker!

Overall, I think 5-2 on that road trip is just about as well as could be expected. The Jays continue to hit the cover off the ball, and now have a +29 run differential, best in the majors. One game up on the O's, and 2.5 on the Yankees. Team batting average of .317, almost 20 points higher than the next team.

The Jays are now home for 3 and 3 against the A's and Rangers. The A's are showcasing some young arms, as Outman, Cahill and Braden will start the three game set. Jays will counter with Purcey, Tallet and Romero. The A's aren't hitting the ball particularly well right now, so I would think that anything less than two victories in this series would be a disappointment.

3-0 in series wins so far is probably the most telling stat. Hopefully they keep it rolling.

With the day off on Monday do people think Halladay will start on Tuesday?

I hope so, problem is our "#5" starter- Tallet is pitching in the #3 spot so we are skipping our #4 in Richmond and not our #5

Meh, hard to imagine there's much difference between Tallet and any current starter not named Roy right now.

League stinkin it up so far this year, as per usual he can't control his sinker at all. I'm not sure if he has any options left to go to Vegas for a bit.

Sorry Gentleman, temp fantasy baseball nerd hijack of this thread. I need the advice of some Jays fans. What are the chances would you say that Downs ends up replacing Ryan as closer before the end of the year?

I am in a closer pickle and someone is trying to rake me over the coals for a second good one, which i feel Downs will be (already have him) if they just give up on Ryan. Thanks for any info...

Geddy has already admitted he's a drunken tilt-monkey, just like me. As such, I feel a certain obligation to protect Geddy as if he was my own. Dont go after the Geddy Lee!

I'm sure people in this thread know better than I do, but I'd say it's 50/50 as to whether it's BJ or Downs. But right now I'd probably hang on to Downs, if I had to pick one. Looking very sharp, and no injury problems.

Bosh isn't a crybaby but he certainly is overrated by the NBA thread crowd who have him as a top 8 player or whatever

Back on the subject, I'm getting my first Jays cap today. Used to always rock an Expos cap but I gotta move on you know?

nah man I got an Expos jersey that I love. You think they still make lettering for those things? Would love to get Youppi put on the back.
Thinking about getting an Arnsberg jersey, but I may go for Tenace instead

Scutaro was out @ 2nd I think, or @ least should have been, but Cabrera looked really awkward applying the tag. Great job stealing 3rd tho.
