Sadly, not a lot happening on the Jays front recently down in Dunedin. Jays sitting at 8-7, not that it really matters. Yankees and Rays are a couple of games ahead, while the Red Sox and O's are a couple behind.
- Jason Lane is leading the team with 5 HR's
- Snider hitting .361 in 36 AB with 3 HR
- Team total of 4 SB in 16 games
- Cecil, Maroth, Bush have all been sent down to minor-league camp
- Arencibia, catcher of the future, is 1/12
What's the rotation looking like these days? Halladay, Litsch, Purcey, Richmond, and ... ?
On a more personal note, I'm extremely please to see that the
Jays signed 2009 World Baseball Classic star and Netherlands close Leon Boyd to a minor league contract.

In four games for The Netherlands, which was eliminated in the second round, the right-hander went 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA, striking out four and issuing three walks in four innings.
I played ball with Boyd during high school and I follow
his blog regularly. End weak brag. Anyone have an idea where someone of his age and talent will start the season off? He's been assigned directly to minor league camp, but if you followed the Dutch team at all during the WBC, you'd have noticed he struck out Hanley Ramirez, David Wright and Ryan Braun in his four appearances.
