Looked good to me, and even if it wasn't, I'd hazard that it was at least +3 calls for the Yankees.

Should I post the pitchfx before, or after that?

CY/MVP very likely IMO

With so many tie-break possibilities MLB should not have a one game playoff for divisional winner. With the WC options out there they should just go with head-to-head record, IMO

Just an impartial observation....

I'm tempted to get a Willie Cañate jersey.

Do I understand that correctly that he's pitched to more lefties this year than righties?

Yeah, I'd guess that teams loaded their lineups with LHB when he started. Seems optimal for any team to do that against any pitcher with normal splits.

I'm heading to the game tonight, my second-to-last one of the season. I feel like I should be bringing a sweater for later on in the evening.

I haven't been down in a bit. How crazy/engaging is the scene outside the stadium? I'm taking my daughter to her first game Saturday; should I be heading down uber-early for the scene, or is there no point?

I just realized that the blue Jays could very likely clinch a playoff spot by the end of this series...

I have a good feeling about this game, despite down 2-0

It is a good things they keep stats. If I was going by my eye test I would guess Pillar is batting .210 and Josh was batting .350. I think hits at key times skews my perception of a players performance in all situations.

Yeah, and at the ASB we'd all be doing handstands if we knew we had a WC in the future, with a 50/50 chance to move on. We'd all have been super happy.

Right now though I am in aloof and indignant mode, thinking that the 2nd WC is a joke and that we should revert back to the single WC with full playoff chances.

I say screw that 2nd WC that I so desperately wanted in July, and repair this inclusive system that rewards the weak with the double WC chance.

It's busy and crowded, but there isn't that much of a scene outside of the drummer (who is awesome). They have been pretty slow at getting people into the stadium so i'd try to get their a little early for that reason.

Bautista's arm is finally healed?

This is a brutal IBB by Gibby.

Oh no....

Loup....

Why??

No, Ellsbury was owning Estrada so far tonight, I think the IBB is okay.

Bringing in Loup in a high leverage spot, that I am not sure about.

This place went crazy when they were showing Bautista's throw on the Jumbotron during the video review. I haven't seen him uncork a throw like that since before the injury.
