AK

By hackers I mean guys that swing at everything with pretty much no ability to take a walk. That is what Buck, and Gonzalez are for the most, but while the pitchers continue to make mistakes against them, they have been hitting it so far.

Hopefully Snider moves up in lineup today.

The pitching for the Jays is deep. Overpaid and Hill are not producing yet.

I think we may have a WC shot this year.
You don't think we're running hot? What odds would you have needed at the start of the year to put money on Buck and Gonzo combining for 17 HRs by May 8th? Throw in Vernon being an all-star, Gregg being dominant and our SP being amongst the best in baseball thus far and I'm pretty sure we are:/

Alright my previous man crush on Randy Ruiz is fading as it appears he is a AAAA hitter with a long swing, who swings for the moon everytime, that is easy to pitch around.

Now if Cito takes his hand out of his ass and creates a proper lineup!

It depends on what you think running hot is.

The W/L for the Bluejays is just about where it should be based on 3rd order wins, though it is early.

If you mean playing over their heads, there are few players who won't sustain the numbers they are putting up, but there is no reason to believe that Overbay, Hill and Lind wont improve. Even Snider has only just started to contribute.

The pitching is deep and Gregg has not been getting guys out with trickery. He's been solid.

I'm usually very pesimistic, but this year the team seems to have an attitude about them. I'm hopeful.

Which included not playing Overbay for a while and not using him to pinch-hit.

I just love Cito............sit a guy cause he can't hit, then bring him in to....hit??

The other day Ozzie lets Buerhle stay in when facing Wells bases loaded and Wells was 19/38 against him.

Cito says, I can top that bonehead move.....he let Overbay hit against a guy that he is 0-18 against.....bases loaded.....

The way Vernon Wells is hitting I have to wonder if he had some kind of nagging injury for the past couple years.

Anyone know anything about Adonis Cardona? Jays have reportedly agreed to terms, though they can't sign him until July 2

Hes probably 15/16,don't worry about him for 5-6 years.

Lyle Overbay mashing in our 5 hole at.... 172/271/293

So much for Trading Overbay mid season, we will be lucky to have someone pick him off waivers.

Ah crap Overbay had his first extra base hit of the month, Cito won't move him out of the 5 hole for at least a month more now.
