The major problem here is Karak has somewhat of a legit point, but only regarding his team. The Yankees thread is far and away the biggest thread on here. Making it permanent would make it unwieldy pretty fast. But it's the exception rather than the rule. Most of the single season team threads are tiny. Starting new 8 post Atlanta Falcons threads every season seems so pointless.

Maybe after something like, 1500 posts in a thread, the first ~500 can be cleared? It will keep the threads small, up to date, and keep the cluster out. Just a suggestion

no

we like to look back at old posts

another reason to keep them divided. makes it easier to do, rather than wading through a massive thread.

This thread is either not being read or the posts on it are being ignored by the powers that be. Please PM Clark and the other SE forum management to let them know how you feel... either way.

And yes, single team forumz are serious business.

I just read these every day and it annoys the **** out of me to have to deal with the way they are currently organized.

Well IMO there is no huge rush to make a decision, so perhaps he should reopen, bump and sticky (and drop this one) the original poll thread since immediately upon closing that one all this opposing views appeared. Leave it up for a week which should reach sufficient consensus.

I vote for keeping the rules the same and continually ****ing with the Yankees title

I'm fine with reopening the poll with the topic being permathreads vs nonpermathreads. I don't at all mind the cutesy tag lines (hence, the title of this thread which clearly implies that mods will change thread titles as requested).

I do find it funny that Karak thinks theres a difference between two 15,000 post yankee threads or one 30,000 post thread.

I dont remember seeing this thread, or the poll thread...and really have no idea where this idea stands now, and am not even sure if any opinions count anymore...but I would like to "vote" for keeping it the same.

I just like the idea of having separate threads for each year.
