Bullpen comes through as about the only good part of the win last night. Franklin Mint gets 4 outs for the save.

Waino is apparently on strike this year, refusing to pitch more than 6 innings per game.

Well... the Cards are off to their best start since '06... and we all know what happened that year

Yeah! Clutch Yadi's homerun to win the NLCS! WainO's curveball freezing Beltran!

Oh, we beat the Tigers as well.

Boggs fell off just a tad at the end but he looked pretty impressive to me tonight.

Dont forget to rate thread, i think the best team in baseball deserves some stars!

After winning today we should maybe be able to sweep up these Natty Lights.

What are the chances Boggs stays in the rotation once Carpenter comes back? He's seemed pretty impressive so far.

I'd say pretty slim. Pineiro is 4-0, and I doubt they'd pull Welley out for Boggs.

Wellemeyer is terrible, can't stress that enough, but I definitely agree about Boggs. Who knows when Carp will be good for an extended period though.

I think its premature to talk sweep, even of the Nats. Its a 4-game series, let's make sure we get at least a split first.

Welley certainly has been looking terrible. I think that if he has a rough start tonight, he needs to start worrying about his spot in the rotation.

Ofcourse being the 6th starter on the cards still seems to guarantee ya about 20 starts a year these days.

I remember it like it was yesterday, deep left field.

Wainwright's curveball was the highlight of the season for me.

Got mlb.tv today So sweet. Love being able to watch any inning in HD at anytime. Only $20 a month which is a steal considering almost every game is televised in HD and you can watch 4 games at once!

Agree...it was so memorable, more memorable than anything in the World Series.

I have tickets to the game today but it seems an epic rain storm is going to savage us... Oh well, gl me... It will probably get PPD about 1/2 way there and be one of the games they don't make up unless it's 100% necessary at the end of the season.

Well he was conscious and could move his arm when the were carting him off, so that's at least one positive sign.
