Probably not ever gonna happen with Luddy crushing the ball behind him. God bless you Ryan Ludwick.

This lineup is starting to remind me of the ones that were great from '04-'06. You really don't get much of a break throughout. If this pitching can hold, this could be a great year.

Also did anyone else see the registration form for All-Star tickets on the website? I snap registered for the drawing, hope I can get lucky one time!

How much do you guys think AS tickets will run me? Could be a really cool experience. I'll probably walk up there the day of (or Hammerstone's/Llywelyn's shuttle ftw) and at least consider the scalpers' offers.

When Albert came up my buddy and I kept yelling, "Lou!" and holding up 4 fingers, guess we were right haha.

Something I've noticed: twice in the last week we've been the beneficiaries of bizarre decisions to not put a guy on. In Game 1 of the Mets series we were down 4-0 in the 4th, runners on 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, and Pujols up. Manuel pitched to him and he roped a two-run double. Then yesterday, with Barden (who's hitting like .400) up, one out, runners on 2nd and 3rd, and the pitcher Boggs on deck in the 4th (Boggs had ~53 pitches, he wasn't coming out), Piniella pitched to him. Boom, two-run single. Its weird.

Lol at walking Pujols with a 4 run lead and 1 guy on.

I missed it due to the Bulls game, was it really intentional? I can't imagine they'd look for retaliation because of Soriano getting hit which was obviously a mistake.

If you're talking to me you misread.

Welle better fix whatever problems he's having. Carp is gonna be back soon and we got at least two guys that can easily do better than he is right now.

He starts against Washington next, needs a good outing.

I am wondering this, too. Any idea what face would be if I win the drawing?

It was 100% intentional.

We were gonna throw at the best player on the cubs team for retaliation. But plunking Lou's old ass seemed like poor form.

No, I was talking about how they walked Pujols with 2 outs and 1 on and a 4 run lead. Cubs announcer basically said they should intentionally walk him. They pretty well did by giving him nothing to hit. I could see it as a reasonably strategy if they had a lefty throwing and Duncan on deck but Ludwick was up next and though there is a dropoff from Pujols it's not signficant enough to put an extra runner out there.

Then I'd have to agree with MT2R, that's pretty lame.

Word, that's pretty bad, missed a good chunk of yesterday's game so I wasn't sure.

Franklin! 6 for 6 in save chances so far, this is too good to be true.

If they woulda pulled Colby Rasmus before he went out there for the 2nd inning to pitch they could of had him for the World Championship game. I remember they took him out in the beginning of the 2nd and put in that 3rd basemen who looked like he was always wearing lipstick and he shut down Toms River NJ.

Damn if Rasmus was pitching the world championship game Phoenix City AL would have a world championship. That still tilts me to this day. That grand slam they hit in the 6th with 2 outs to stay off elimination in game 2 was sfsickkkkkk.

Also Greene hitting .219 and playing awful defense. You can do one or the other, but not both.

Yeah LLWS. That Phenix City AL team was prolly my all time favorite LLWS team I wanted them to win so bad. Colby/Cory Rasmus were so bad ass. I remember they stopped the game vs Toms River in like the 3rd when they were down 2-0 and resumed it when I was at school the next day. I sit waiting for the score to go by the bottom of espn for like a half hr and I see that they won 3-2 I went nuts. I really have no clue why I wanted them to win so bad.

He was bound to do it. I thought it was going to happen on Thursday. Let's not make blowing these games a habit, although it had been going well so far.
