I'd probably suicide bomb the Cardinals front office.

After thinking/reading about it some more. I'm okay with the trade for sure. Wallace hasn't been good at 3rd in AAA and there's talk that he projects more as a 1B. I think we're covered in that area.

Arbitration for next year, or 2 picks if he doesn't take it? Well that's okay. 20 million coming off the books with Glaus/Greene/Kennedy. We'll be okay.

This is the key. We have to offer arbitration. If he accepts(he won't), fine. However, if he doesn't, DO NOT RESIGN him.

I haven't looked at Wallace's #'s that much since he got called up to AAA. He's doing great for his age but when Tyler Green has a higher OPS you aren't exactly ready to step into the majors and start contributing.

That actually looks pretty scary though. We'd damn well better make a run.
Pretty solid except please for TLR to get the pitcher back in the 9 spot. Also please to him stop ****ing with the lineups now that we got a roster full of major leaguers.

ALSO PLEASE TO THURSTON GETTING SENT DOWN TO MAKE ROOM FOR HOLLIDAY!!!!! (This is probably my favorite part of the deal)

Pinero in the 9 slot tonight. That's 2 days in a row FWIW. Lugo leading off and filling in for Skip. ANKIEL in for Rasmus. I guess since he hit a homerun last night he'll be in the lineup every day for a week at least.

Thank god. I'd hate to run up against the world series champs without Thurston in the lineup. Christ.

Wow, wtf. Holliday stealing 2nd vs a lefty?

Ankiel hitting the ball sharply the past few games... and vs a pretty good lefty tonight?? Wow.

Does Lugo have more home runs as a Cardinal than Duncan did?

Rick Ankiel begins hitting OMG. And he made a great catch too.

Yeah big surprise there. I guess it's just their culture of morons at work again.

Lol at getting 15 hits, 9 extra base hits, 3 sbs and still losing by 8.

Lugo is ****ing crushing. Even if he goes 0 for his next 30, I'll still be happy with the trade.

Not the best sign that our bullpen has blown 2 of the last 3 games. We've got Welly tomorrow so I hope we have reinforcements on the way.

The announcers got on top of this a bit, but still: after the second time it happens, and a ~10m delay in the game, there wasn't one person in the immediate area that was willing to point out whoever it was? If you figure two people on either side of whoever was doing it, and then the two rows behind them, that should be more than ten people that could say, "Hey, *******, cut it out." After play resumed, Ankiel got it as well.

It's Philadelphia. They probably bought whoever did it a nice cheesesteak. They love being wannabe thugs at sporting events.

We have to have a better option than Wellemeyer at this point.
