We should be on a 7 game winning streak. This lineup needs help, badly.

Yeah word finally got around that without Glaus, Ank, or Lud protecting Pujols. All you have to do is walk him and our triple A/slap hitting offense is pretty much impotent.

We got Khali Greene coming back tomorrow so that should fix all of our offensive woes!!!

Edit: And if this thread doesn't have some stars by the allstar break im making a bunch of gimmicks to vote it up.

Yes, the thought of Khalil Greene in a lineup sure is offensive.

Don't get me wrong, I do feel bad for the guy as it sounds like he really does have some mental issues he's going through, but dammit, how can you trade for this guy and say he's going to be the answer at SS for a club that wants to compete for a title.

He was cheap and nobody else wanted him, thats pretty much the qualifications for our pickups these days.

Well bad things are developing:

Troy Glaus looking to be out for most of the season now (he appears to have gone into witness protection somewhere in a western state)

And now Thurston and Barden appear to be heating up just in time to convince management they can save more money by not replacing Glaus with an impact player.

In other news, another ridiculously good start for Waino and big win to put us back in first.

Clutch Molina leading catchers for AllStar game!

I was pumped when I saw that today.

I wonder if I'll ever see a wonderful chain of starts like this again in my lifetime.

Its amazing what a little offense can do.

And while I do feel sympathy for Khalil Greene, he is an absolute mess at the plate.

Speculation is that when Luddy comes of the DL, they're going to put Khalil on it with the anxiety thing.

It was clear from last night that the guy is not right, and he needs to go figure it all out.

Anyone else find great humor in the Rays getting their first taste of the Isringhausen experience? And I even like the Rays, but goddam, they really should have known better.

BWWHAHAHAH better than I expected. Walk the first 3 batters you face? Classic Izzy.

Wow. That was painful to watch. I'm so glad we don't have to deal with that anymore. He's so bad.

THREE straight walks when he comes in the game. Not one, not two, but THREE! omg it was so predictable too! You knew it was coming. omgomgomg.

Meanwhile, Ryan Franklin is quietly the main reason we are in 1st place right now. What a blessing he's been this year.

Khalil officially to the DL with anxiety problems. Luddy and Ank back, and not a moment too soon.

Isn't it funny how back in February we were all "Wow we have so many people who can play 3rd base." Now it's "Oh ****, we need someone who can play third base!"
Glaus, Freese, Mather all out. Barden and Thurston could only hold it together with smoke and mirrors for so long.

Is there any chance the organization just plops our 3rd baseman in coming Wallace in there and just says "Go get em kid!" My guess: No - although I kinda wish they would.

I'm so damn sick of seeing Thurston pop out weakly to third base every damn time.

The 3rd base situation is a real bastard. Wallace is slowly starting to look like the best option. I don't think management is gonna pull the trigger on a ballsy move like that. Not to mention our defense is already crappy enough and poor defense is the most common knock against Wallace.

There's not a whole lot of good options available for trade. Plus all the other teams know how obvious it is that we need one bad so they can squeeze us to get a bargain. They probably gonna want Rasmus or Wallace maybe Motte or Perez. None of those are real fun to think of trading away.

I guess Mather coming back soon is the best option. He started off the year in an offensive funk but I've always thought he looked like a pretty good player offensively and defensively. Maybe Wallace can heat up and him and Mather can platoon until Freese comes back.

I guess we'll know where we stand next week when we get some sort of word on the elusive Troy Glaus.

I saw the game in a bar, so no sound, but please tell me that bunt in the 5th was for a base hit and not a TLR-called sac bunt.
