I was worried about how the crowd would react honestly, but that was perfect. Also loved the “Al-bert” chants in his last at bat. Place would have exploded if he had gone yard to tie it.

I was rooting for him to go yard, not because I wanted to see him go yard, but because I wanted to see an away player go deep and get a standing O/curtain call lol because you know it would have happened

1) what a great weekend of baseball
2) I fully expect to need to go 4-2 the rest of the way to win the division outright.

Having (I'm assuming)
Flaherty in 2, and then back to STL with Wainwright and then Hudson or Mikolas with Jack in a potential game 5 seems solid af, even with the current bullpen issues. Braves better win game 1 or there in deep **** imo. should be fun

Home field in NLCS. Amazing. Better than this front office deserves but I’ll take it.

Who you starting in one?
I'm going Mikolas 1 wainwright 2 and getting adam two home starts (vs Sherzer) , but I'm guessing he gets the nod in game 1 instead

Same, but also agree it doesn’t matter. Jack/Stras is quite a matchup.

Rough way to go out, but good pitching will always beat good hitting. The Nats staff is solid and they'll be a tough out in the WS.

I felt like today's game after the 1st is the type of game I expected and why I thought the cards would win...build up the pitch count on the Nats starter, and then a HUGE edge in the bullpen (I know they didn't score, but I fee like over 7 they would've gotten to them A LOT). But Nats starters were soooo much better than cards hitters for those first 3 1/2 games

Wong goes 0 for everything against the Nats and makes some of the most unusual postseason errors that I have seen in the last 40 years of baseball. Notice how he virtually ran into Martinez and ducked away in the last second. Look at Martinez in the replay. It's like WTF are you doing dude?

That drop was not Wong’s fault at all, it’s an incredibly simple principle that middle schoolers understand.

Reason: also he had two hits yesterday
