affeldt deserves a shot, but u think merkin is a viable option for the future

but you also think kevin frandsen will be good so your talent meter is a bit off
San Francisco Giants: THE DYNASTY Quote

did you actually look at their minor league numbers in the links i posted above? i'm glad you're an mlb level scout and all but you might be a bit off on this one.

snatching defeat from the jaws of victory imo

I was wondering if they could have sold high on Wilson last year, but nah, other GMs aren't suckers for gaudy save numbers in the face of allowing legions of baserunners, right? Plus, chicks dig the 100 mph gas, I guess, and hey, he ain't Armando.

i really dont care if he hit .400 in the minors, the point is he cant get it done in the majors, burris makes more contact, hes faster, better at D, better arm...frandsen just isnt good...maybe he will be a career minor leaguer but he cant hit his way out of a wet paper bag.
San Francisco Giants: THE DYNASTY Quote

Frandsen: 368AB's .247
Burriss: 375 AB's .272

Frandsen - 3 steals
Burriss - 23 steals (in 10 less games)

but luckily frandsen can hit .300 in the minors so is a better player ldo
San Francisco Giants: THE DYNASTY Quote
05-22-2009 , 02:19 AM
and to further go on about the ****tiness that is kevin frandsen

Eugenio Velez - 318 AB's .252

but then ur going to bring up some BABIP wacky stat that confuses me and claim that since frandsen hits .300 in AAA he is still better

lol batting average

obviously you are far too knowledgeable about baseball for me to continue with this debate
San Francisco Giants: THE DYNASTY Quote
05-22-2009 , 02:30 AM
well i mean, hitting the ball is important, amirite? his OBP is better too

i mean i understand u have a man crush on a mediocre middle infielder its ok im in love with nate schierholtz, but u have to understand he is trash and will never be a productive MLB player, but hey he can sure rake in fresno!
San Francisco Giants: THE DYNASTY Quote

you claim frandsen will be good and provide me minor league stats to back it up, i say burriss is better and provide mlb stats to back up my argument, but yet im an idiot

lulz

how about you talk about frandsen when he gets that BA over .000, kids trash
San Francisco Giants: THE DYNASTY Quote
05-22-2009 , 02:54 AM
neither one has played a full season yet. since in a small sample size their mlb numbers are very very similar (lol ba), i will take the guy who kicked the **** out of the other guy in the minors, instead of basing it on who didn't play so well on my brother's high school team.

over that same enormous stretch of games, burriss is hitting .143

ignore list candidate itt

Nevermind Fransden even has the higher OPS despite being less lucky (BABIP voodoo, nevermind you that) in that stupidly tiny sample.

but gogogog BA

all im saying is, burriss has produced more than frandsen in the same amount of time in the bigs

but since his BABZIPIEZLMNOP in AAA is higher frandsen is obv better

but of course minor league made up stats > big league performance

im not sure what is worse, the giants on the field performance or phildos ability to evalulate talent.

but hey frandsen is a triple a beast so he is obv better

and lol BA .000, **** i could do that.

Actually he hasn't. You may be shocked SHOCKED to know that OPS is a better measure of run contribution than BA, but it is. Check their MLB OPSs.

ill take the 30 pt higher BA than a 20 point stat factoring in slugging for a 2b...and his OBP is 30 points higher

listen im not saying burriss is great, but he is better than frandsen
