yeah, it sucks. that's baseball.

tim vs livan is like some sort of gift from heaven. somehow the giants will only manage to score like two off hernandez though.

Timmy not looking sharp tonight. I'm thinking they're going to need all of those runs.

ETA: Hac Man actually sounding pleasant on the broadcast right now. He was always quite surly, seemed like. When I was in grad school, I worked in a baseball card store, and a huge black Mercedes pulled up so its occupants could go to Taco Bell. It was Leonard. The owner took a couple of cards out there and said, "Would you mind signing these?" Leonard says, "Actually, yeah." ...but he still signed them.

beltran's ground ball finds a glove most of the time and tim is out after popping up sheff. he wasn't good in the first but he's been kind of unlucky this inning.

awesome

edit: and even though tim has allowed 4 hits and 2 walks (well now 5 hits), all the hits have been singles.

edit2: lol allows a soft single then ks the side on another 11 pitches. timmy imo

i have no idea why tim would try to take second there but i can't really complain about his baserunning too much. it really can't matter in the long run.

also i would not have complained if bochy had left in him with a 2 run lead, but i think pulling him with 3 is the right move.

jesus ****ing christ how many groundball singles are the mets going to get tonight

MOTHER****ING HELL HOW WAS THAT NOT STRIKE 3

it's nice to see frandsen back, and i think he has a chance to be pretty decent (especially at 2b) but wtf is going on with the top of the lineup. velez should not being leading off and even though i like frandsen he really shouldn't be hitting second right now.

i know lineup construction doesn't matter that much but bochy is so ****ing dumb about everything it drives me crazy. it doesn't matter how fast you are if you can't get on base.

lol at that being a single. bengie is so damn slow.

i can't believe he bunted sandoval. you are so ****ing stupid, bochy

nice uncalled third balk, pelfrey

well the fourth one will do. pelfrey melting down. c'mon giants, take advantage.

Hope you enjoyed that first month while it lasted, Matt.

Affeldt. Can Wilson have a nice, quite 1-2-3 ninth?

i guess you can't get into too much trouble walking 5 (lol at that second inning though, so lucky) if you only allow two singles and a double through six.

cain really, really needs to get his walks down, though.

Went to the game last night (2-1 loss to the Padres in San Diego w/ Zito on the mound.)

Zito really hangs that **** up there sometimes -- obviously both solo homers were pure BP Zito in action. He had a good game overall, at least stat wise, but the defense saved his ass a couple times and he also got out of some tight jams.

Obviously, the line-up sucks and they left a lot of dudes on base, even with getting guys on early in the inning. Velez is fast as hell and it was nice to see him get some hits.

Much love for Kung Fu Panda, even though he is even fatter in person. Seriously, how are him and Bengie professional athletes with how fat they are? Is there no pressure to get healthy as long as you can hit singles?

There was a ridic small crowd of 16,000 in San Diego -- lots of them were Giants fans as well. I was sitting behind the Pads dugout and there was a couple loud Giants fans who had a solid chant -- "Gives good headley" -- but then they called out me and my friends for not chanting along with them, so they lost some points. I am a lazy fan.

Going to tonight's game and tomorrow's, will be back with more obvious observations you already know.

holy god this ump needs to be shot out of a cannon.

i believe that was the changeup that had sanchez shaking his head.

i'm not going to bother posting the graph but gaudin has one questionable ball so far, and it was on the line exactly. nothing clearly inside the zone like the four sanchez has so far (including the one right over the ****ing middle of the plate).

it'd be nice if sanchez could ever stop walking so many people, his stuff usually looks pretty nasty
