i want to say this is a good thing because bochy can't possibly think whiteside is a better offensive player than belt but i'm sure he'll find some way to justify keeping belt on the bench.

yes there is no better way to evaluate a hitter than looking at his last 22 at bats.

also that's an interesting nickname you have assigned to a player that has the 3rd highest on base percentage on the team. he makes less outs than pablo sandoval, angel pagan and gregor blanco. all terrible players that should clearly be designated for assignment immediately.

yea but getting on base is only important when you get hits because you can advance more then one base.

i wonder what stat are we going to use next week to appologize for Belt's lack of production.

25% of his career stats came in 30 ABs versus Houston, Seattle, and Oakland in mid June haha. so bad.

you have to exploit lefty/righty match ups. something you stat nerds just don't understand!

again i must repeat, he has had 10 good games all in a row in mid June that contribute to the bulk of his stats. it is the only time he has put anything together all season. since then he is batting .137 with an obp of .266 and a slugging % of .244. and he has played in every single game since then. if he isn't going to show that he can be consistent for a playoff contender, he isn't going to get more playing time because he doesn't deserve it. especially when Bochy is looking for spots to give Buster "days off" at 1st.
