But really, I'll like the pick when I hear he's starting.

Pouncey was the correct pick imo. We desperately need to get better balance offensively.

In keeping with the trend this offseason, we got mcfadden back with a 6th for a 5th. wtf

I actually liked this move. We weren't getting a better corner at that spot in the draft and he already knows our defense. I dig the moves especially Pouncey and the Dwyer pick.

Statement from Bill Cowher on the passing of his wife, Kaye:

“Sadly, my wife Kaye lost her battle with cancer on Friday. Kaye was such a loving and compassionate person and she was the foundation of our family. Kaye was always at my side throughout my career as a player, coach, NFL analyst and, most importantly, as a parent to our three daughters Meagan, Lauren and Lindsay. They will miss their mother dearly.

"Kaye was the rock that we could all lean on in the tough times. She was looked up to by so many people and I cannot say enough about what Kaye meant to our family. Her memory will never be forgotten. We would like to thank everyone who has kept our family in their thoughts and prayers and for those who have reached out to express their condolences. It is clear that Kaye touched a lot of lives.”

For anyone interested in making a donation on Kaye’s behalf, the Cowher family has asked that those be directed to Family Resources of Pennsylvania (412)-363-1702; www.familyresourcesofpa.org , the charity that Kaye so passionately supported.

Just got back from Steelers training camp the last couple days. Had a great time and the first teamers were looking good. Leftwich did not look that great and his accuracy was not there. Dixon looked good and was throwing a nice ball. I hope that we start him for the first 4 games instead of Leftwich. Also with Dwyer running the triple option in college and Randle El and Ward, I think that we could come up with some gimmick plays to the the offensive going while Roethlisberger is out.

Yeah, but Arians isn't a big fan of gimmick plays. I don't see anyway Leftwich isn't the starter, short of injury. Reports have said that Pouncey looks really good, maybe even good enough to play C this year, did u see him at all?

Yeh Pouncey looked good. I also heard that he might play Center. We need all the help we can get on the O line. Yeh your right about Arians. I am not a big fan of Arians of though. I dont like that WR screen we do like 10 times a game. Especially now that Holmes is gone. Also the 3rd and short and running it to the left side everytime. What are your thoughts on Arians?

Repeated attempts to ram a square peg through a round hole.

Enjoys minimizing most important player's strengths.

Oblivious to team's weaknesses and unwilling or unable to adapt. Unfamiliar with the term rollout.

Prefers highest degree of difficulty, evidenced by proclivity to abandon any strategy that has, at the moment, proven effective and unstoppable.

Crippling case of FPS.

NFL network eventually replays all the games. Set the DVR.

I really can't deal with trying to watch football on a pirate stream.

I really wish they would do one of these Hard Knocks shows on the Steelers. I really enjoyed the show so much and I dont even like most of the teams that they do each year. Watching last nights episode about the Jets is making me miss Santonio already.

You'll get over that as soon as you see a highlight of him cutting the wrong way and it getting returned for six.

Nice looking preseason game tonight. Dennis Dixon needs to start over Leftwich while Big Ben is out. Also Antonio Brown looks solid. Antonio=Santonio. Issac Redman looked solid too. Mendenhall, Moore and Redman is a group of running backs. LETS GO STEELERS!!!!!!! Getting juiced for the season.

Me too. Athough we need for the O-line to gel a little more. Our offense should be pretty sick actually

Just watching the replay now on NFL Network (missed a lot of the game yesterday). I'm very impressed with Isaac Redman, I hope he sees some regular season time. There's been a lot of fumbles though; coaches are gonna have to kick their asses about that. O-Line looks horrid in pass protection. Like what I see from Joe Burnett and that Keenan kid at the CB. Larry Foote looks awful too. Keyaron Fox (sp?) might start if this keeps up.

Any indication the special teams kick defense will be better than awful?

Sepulveda working on KOs?

I'm strongly in favor of a KO specialist.

That attempt at a tackle last year by Jeff Reed against Minnesota when they took the kickoff back still makes me sick.

What are you guys thoughts on Saturday's game? I feel like Antonio Brown was decent on punts and kickoffs and you can see that he can break one if he gets opportunity. Isaac Redman still looked solid. I was a little nervous when he came out for his rib, but good to see he came right back in the game. Leftwich had that nice TD pass to Wallace, but I still feel like the offense moves better with Dixon. I really hope that Dixon atleast good a good amounts of reps in first 4 games if Leftwich is starting.

Sepulvada had a couple nice kickoffs but I dont think he will be doing it during the season. He does kick the ball very high which gives plenty of time for Special Teams to get down the field. But he only kicked it into the endzone 1 time I think. Defense looked solid but we were going against a really beat up Giants team with their 3rd string QB. I am happy to have McFadden back and he is much better than William Gay. Also Ike Taylor had beautiful uppercut in that fight, looking like Junior Dos Santos.
