Would be nice to keep Troy around for more than a game this year. Ben played like ****, OL played like ****, (how the hell do 3 guys get through on a 4 man rush?) despite giving up a bit of yardage the D played well enough to win. I really don't want to revert back to the team that can't cover kicks.

Losing the Bungles is just nauseating.

Repeat after me boys and girls; Bruce Arians is a moronic ******.

Ben is off and we throw 44 times? In a close game? WTF???

We wasted an excellent defensive performance (without Troy for most of the game)

Empty backfield on 1st and goal from the 9???

No swing passes to Mendy??

We're not out of it, but things just got tougher.

Ben manned up and admitted he had a bad game, time to move on. Hopefully he has a brilliant first 3 quarters today and then we see Batch. Although the players didn't execute well last week, some of the playcalling was LoLtastic, especially the last 3 plays. Arians admitted in an interview that he called all 3 of those plays. In my wettest dreams Arians gets fired and the Steelers rehire Mark Whipple (now OC for The U). Not gonna happen, but one can dream. Look for Ziggy Hood to take some big steps today and Mendy should get about 125 yards and 2 TDs.

We have to have the worst hands of any secondary ever. Other than Troy these guys couldn't catch aids in africa.

Anyone else see the "fire arians" sign on the sidelines this week?

When someone figures this team out, let me know.

After the 3rd down sweep + decision to punt, I didn't really give a **** what happened to this team. That was four down territory.

I think this team is just running bad in a lot of departments, though the lack of moving pockets/designed rollouts have put me on season tilt.

After the dumb sweep call I don't think you go for it on 4th and 5 there. In fact I am positive you don't.

My point was that Arians should have treated it as four down territory and never even called a relative high-percentage yardage-loser like the sweep.

Oh yea, I completely agree then. I guess I misinterpreted your previous post...

I have read elsewhere that Batch may have audibled into the sweep. If that's the case, it's still unacceptable.

It would be nice to have coaches that can think two steps ahead in terms of game strategy and I still have hope for Tomlin. But until there's a relegation-style league where anyone can start a franchise, there will be rampant ******ation in NFL coaching (though this is true for every major American sport).

I just got a little sick thinking about the sweep call at the end of the Jags playoff game a few years ago.

Even if it was an audible by Batch, why wasn't Mendenhall in the game on a crucial 3rd and 2 ??? With Ben out, why not ride Mendy hard ???

The call at the end of the Jags game was a QB draw, but your point still stands. I have never wanted anyone to die in a grease fire as much as I want Arians for to right now. But the Steelers don't fire coaches mid-season, never have in my 40+ years as a fan. Good thing Cincy is still the Bungles, they could have nailed the division down yesterday, up two games and holding the tiebreaker. As it is we go to B-more next week with a concussed QB and a guy who has thrown only one NFL pass in his entire career, The Ravens are pretty much out of the playoff race, but they know they can spoil our season by beating us.

Oh, and Batch is now out for at least 4 weeks with a broken wrist.

Yeah, he's been a China Doll for much of his career. he's played well for the Steelers, but it looks like his time with them is done. GG, Charlie Batch, Pgh loves you. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him become a coach.

Jeff Garcia >>>>>>> Cleo Lemon & Dennis Dixon

I think Dixon will do well if called on. Wouldn't mind Garcia if we commit to the run.

Looks like it's gonna be Tyler ****ing Palko pending a physical. He'll be on the practice squad and Dixon will be the only other qb on the active roster.

okay...

This means they'll HAVE to hand the ball off 40 times on Sunday, right? Of course, the Ravens will think the same thing, so Ben will set a career high in pass attempts most likely. Bruce Arians for the win.

Bruce Arians- master leveler.

We also signed Corey Ivy, who was on the receiving end of Sweed's block in the AFCC last year and a pretty big bitch iirc.
