omg omg omg omg omg my cable went out right after walking Helton. I think my stomach is still doing flip-flops because of that. When I got the signal back they were all doing high-fives. Dear lord does Lidge make me nervous. Otherwise I really agree with everyone else that Manuel did a good job. Getting to use Madson is such a tight situation was vvvv nice.

Last year for the NLCS, I made a prop bet with my buddy (a Dodgers fan originally from LA). We would go to LA for a 2009 Phillies-Dodgers series, loser of the NLCS has to drive and buy the tickets.

Well, we never made it during the season, so we bumped it to the NLCS assuming Phillies-Dodgers. Ship the free trip and LCS ticket, woot.

Dude, when it comes to Phillies tix, I run white hot.

My best friend back home has a 2-seat partial season ticket package. In the playoff tix lottery, he won 2 tickets to 1 game.

Game 5 of the world series.

"When Shane Victorino made the second out of the inning, after Rollins singled, the Rockies had more than a 96% chance to win the game. After Werth drove in the Phillies’ fifth and final run, that percentage was all the way down to 19%. That’s a 77% shift between four batters."

Life long Dodger fan here, I'll make a guess on what it'll be on our side. I think Kuroda will be ready to go, I think we'll go with a 4 man rotation, with how badly Billingsley pitched against you guys in last years LCS and how badly he pitched at the end of the year, I think it's safe to say he'll be in the bullpen.

Gm 1- Wolf
Gm 2- Kershaw
Gm 3- Kuroda
Gm 4- Padilla
Gm 5- Wolf
Gm 6- Kershaw
Gm 7- Kuroda

Haha nice. My Dad has tickets to one game each round, he went to Game 1 of the NLDS but I couldn't go because I had class all day =/. His tickets for the NLCS are for Game 3 this Sunday, so I'll definitely be there. I got to go to Game 2 of the NLCS last year but I couldn't make the WS game that he had. You better believe I'll be there this year, though.

Did you make it to the parade last year?

Ugh, no. I woke up fairly early and tried to catch a train into the city, not realizing that half a million people would have the same idea. A train system built for carrying 50,000 people each morning doesn't work with 500,000 people.

Assuming I'm back in Philly, I will stay in the city the night before this year.

I think I would like to see Pedro in game two. Get him out there in good weather. Plus LA has more RH power.

Also what's with the weird day off between games 4 & 5. Lee/Hamels get to pitch in 5 out of the seven games? Can't complain about that.

Took me three hours from Collinswood to get into the city that day. Worth every minute.

Meh, we still have the advantage in starting pitching matchups, Dodgers have a significant advantage when comparing the 2 teams bullpens.

Chopper should be ready to come back for this series so is it safe to say Blanton will not be coming out of the bullpen?

I'm a student at the University of Delaware and Septa goes through the Newark train station, so I worked it out that me and two buddies were going to go up. I was going to get on the train in Newark and they were going to get on the train's first stop (since Newark is the beginning of the line). However, when I got on the train, it was packed and I was starting to wonder how there would be room for them to get on at Delaware Park. Well, I was looking out the window and all of a sudden I see a bunch of people standing on a platform as we go speeding through at 55 MPH. About 2 seconds later I got a phone call, "Was that your train?" to which I respond, "Yep." So, I got into the city around 10 or so and saw the parade go by on Market St. I eventually got up with them that they were able to catch a train right around the time I got there, so I figured that I would just call them and meet them somewhere. Well, that proved to be a problem since 2 million people in the city ****ed up the cell phones. I eventually found them on S. Broad St. and we proceeded to some bar on South St. where patrons were serving the customers, since the owner was clueless that 2 million people would show up that day, so I was able to get served (win!). Even though I don't remember much after watching them celebrate at Citizens Bank Park, it was still a hell of lot of fun.
