Moyer is done for the season. Groin injury...sounds awful.

The thing I read said he should be ready by spring training. Wow, how much longer is his career going to be?

nice to win the NL East, but idk, i'm just not into it like everyone else. i expected the team to win the division and also want the whole sha-bang. i also don't like how manual put lidge in for the last out, thought it was very lame

I dont think Kendrick is deffinitely in, he made a very empressive push to be in but I would put a ? next to his name. Here are my 8.

Madson
Lidge
Happ
Park
Eyre
Myers
Durbin
Romero

I hate leaving Condrey out but I dont know if you have a choice.

Winning 3 division titles in a row is still a big accomplishment.

I understand what you are saying to an extent, bc I expected to be here as well. But is still something these players worked for 158 games to get to so it needs to be celebrated....but not too much. Its back to business today and this group knows that as good if not better then many.

Lol at Sportscenter today. They were showing the Phillies last 3 seasons and what they did in the post season. They showed how in 2007 we got swept by the Rockies Stan Verret said something along the lines of how the Phillies do not want to see the Rockies bc of that.....uhhhhh Yes we do, thats the ideal matchup!!!

A dude from the Denver Post was on First Take and he said that despite getting swept in '07 the Phillies match-up well against the Rockies (I think he said the Rockies are 7-15 on the road against left-handed SPs).

Yes, we do not want to play you. At all. We normally start these players:

Carlos Gonzalez
Brad Hawpe
Todd Helton
Ian Stewart
Seth Smith

Against righties

Any of those against righties is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fowler/Spilly/??? against lefties.

Good luck either way in the postseason, these four teams are way better than the 4 two season ago.

Shouldn't Happ be in the rotation over Blanton for the Rockies?

I understand that Happ can probably go to the bullpen easier than Blanton, but having another lefty starter would be money in that series.

Given they didn't pitch Happ against TB last year I would think they wouldn't do it against COL either. Although he is more 'established' this year...

I struggled with that to, but I dont know if you want to mess with Blanton right now, especially considering he has a handfull of postseason starts under his belt now.

Say Hamles gets rocked for 6 in 2 1/3 in a game, I like my chances bringing Happ in the stop the bleeding and our offense to close the gap...

I guess losing Moyer makes Happ to the bullpen more sensible as well.

I already got an email saying I did not get tickets to the NLDS, that was like a week ago though.
