because Happ is a luckbox who ran really good most of this season but is nowhere as good as his numbers would indicate.

When Happ's luck runs out late in the season everyone will blame it on an increased workload, and "hitting the rookie wall", but really, you can't hold opponents to a sub .150 BAA w/RISP all season long

Even if they are back, there is no garauntee that they are going to ready...

They're actually pretty crappy; like 3 levels above that.
On the plus side I believe it's right near the Yards tap.

Well it was 2003-2006 when I used to get them, little harder to come by a good ticket these days.

Mmmmmm.... Yards. Hmmm just remembered they are distributing that again where I live (2 hours up the turnpike). Must go on beer run tonight.

Only a couple months late to the convo. FYI Halladay has a career .294 BABIP.

As a Dodger fan why am I even in this thread. However, I am rooting we see you guys round 1. Cliff Lee, and Hamels as good as they are would be a better match up for us.

Vs. RHP- .271/.340/.408
Vs. LHP- .278/.365/.436

Hamels showed last year how terrible he is in the playoffs, if i was an opposing team i would also rather face the Phillies in round 1.........

butnahhhh

Who starts Game 1?

Lee is showing that he should start game 1. Though it is against the Nats...

Was at the game tonight, so weird being so far out in front. Crowed was pretty dead. Everyone is just relaxed, playing out the string, it's pretty much in the bag. Weird.

Hamels and Lee are pretty equal to Wainwright and Carpenter and we hit lefties better so I guess I like that matchup better. It's not like I'm saying, yes we get to face Lee and Hamels what a cake walk. Both match-ups suck.

Is this what happens when you run away with a division+the Eagles season starts?

Nobody posts ITT for 4 days, tisk tisk.

The division is locked up so everyone is just waiting for October now. The pitching staff needs to stop getting injured though.

Nice to not have a bunch of heart attack games down the stretch this year.

Let's face it, the MLB playoffs are a variance-filled crapshoot. We did exactly what we're supposed to do, which was give ourselves a chance to roll the dice so to speak. Now let's get healthy, get hot, run good, and gogogogoogogog to a World Series.

This is really strange. I didn't even know the game was in a rain delay on Sunday. Just doesn't matter. This is the first time in three or four years that the Phillies are not playing important games.

Dear lord, is there anyone at the game today? Everytime they do a closeup of Blanton all I see are empty front row seats.

It really is a shame, especially after I saw that place packed and a complete mad house for the Dolphins game just the night before.

Wheeeeeee Lidge!

Can we stop this already?

At this point Lidge shouldn't even be on the playoff roster, cannot keep putting him out there and hoping for the best. Thanks for last year Brad, will always love you, now get the **** out!!
