I can't stand the Giants because they're a fringe playoff team for the last 6-7 years, made the playoffs 3 times, and somehow have 3 rings. Most wins in that period is 94. Doesn't help that a couple of my more obnoxious friends are Giants fans, but small sample size.

RAJ did bring him in to interview. I'd imagine they would bring in a new GM before they hired a new manager.

Also I really hope the door hit him in the ass on the way out the door.

I believe he was a finalist for two jobs leading into this season too. Honestly I would love to see it. No manager with any kind of past success is going to want to come here and lose for 2 or 3 seasons. Whoever gets the job is most likely going to be a first time skipper. What the hell the Phillies aren't going to win next year anyways and if he can translate his work ethic/attitude to his players... I think it could work.

I'm fine with Pete coming back. Players liked him, he did a solid job with a team that will have a lot of the same issues next year.

Also to clarify I'm ok with Ibanez (outside of when he was a terrible signing) but I was hoping the door hit RAJ on his ass on the way out the door, and then he fell down the concrete stairs.

Phillies are one of 7 teams that haven't denied bidding on Byung-ho Park. I'd be shocked if they are the team who is going after him but a guy who has hit 50 plus HR's in back to back seasons would sure bring some excitement to the team.
