Can you let this leak into the off season? This isn't exactly an ideal destination right now for a manager and if you already have a guy in place who is getting the most out of his talent why look elsewhere?

It should be noted that Dom Brown hit his second home run of the week (and month and year) and has increased his batting average almost 50 points since the All-Star Break.

He's making 2.5 million this year... It's about time he starts earning a portion of that.

Salisbury thinks the Angels or Cubs will end up with Utley via waivers.

Utley leaving would hurt. He was the heart and soul of those great teams from 2007 to 2011

He's gone after this season regardless. He's not going to come anywhere near the 500 plate appearances he needs for his $15 million dollar option to be picked up.

If he has anything left, the best thing for both him and the Phillies would be a trade to a decent team. There's absolutely no reason for the Phillies to play him the rest of the season, and there's no reason he should waste whatever he has left on a team this far out of contention.

12-2 Since the break... There were rumblings today on the radio that everyone could be coming back... Including RAJ.

Here's my opinion. If you didn't fire him until now, why fire him now?

Because it's better than not firing him now.

13-3 since ASG! Tried to think of something witty to say but LOL just feels right and most appropriate.

Best in the majors. I hope they can win 1 of the next 2 and keep it going.

There will probably be 16 guys in their system that need to be rule 5 protected next year. That is going to take some skilled 40 man roster management. Is there anything in RAJ's time with the Phillies that makes you feel good about that.

I'm hoping he wont be back next year. He's the worst. Not sure how they decide to get rid of Sarge and Wheels and replace them with what has been Moyer, Davis and Schmidt thus far who are horrible. I can deal with Stairs because he just seems like a dude I want to pound beers with but he is just average in the booth. I wish they could find a way for Franzke and LA to do TV.

Wheeler is an ******* that should have been fired the day he tried to get Ashburn off the air.

The whole TV team is just impossible to listen to. But else would you expect from a Comcast hired team.

I agree he was an ass but he was way better than any of these guys on now. The way Davis talks you would think he was a 10 time all-star. Typical Malvern Prep douche.

100% agree that Mackanin has earned a contract offer

Is anyone else starting to buy into Hernandez and Herrera as legit MLB starters and pieces to built around? Its caught me totally off guard but they've been really fun to watch lately.

It may be just me, but Herrera seems to be the next Shane Victorino. His stats this year remind me a lot of Shane's first year as a full-time starter, and Herrera is two years younger.

Hernandez has increased his batting average from .237 last year to .287 this year.

It's obviously been a miserable season (though the last three weeks have been nice) but it's hard not to get excited about those two guys and Franco as well. And all three guys should be peaking in two or three years, which is when the team should be competitive again.

We just acquired former braves and rangers infielder Tyler pastornicky from the rangers for cash considerations. He is going to the iron pigs.
