Really like Lidge the last couple of games. Sample size ldo but his velocity is back up to 95 again and he is locating a lot better.

I wish I knew. Ruiz must be tired/injured. I gather they want to use Coste more as a PH.

does anyone know if the tickets are half price on game days anymore, or did they stop that with the WS ring.

I wasn't even aware they did that last season. I would call the ticket office.

Nice to sweep a team we should sweep. It's important that they now rape the Reds/Pirates.

Anyone else sick and tired of T-Mac/Wheels? I mean Wheels is bearable compared to that man-boobed T-Mac. He tries way too hard to be funny and is just annoying. I really like Scott/L.A.

Tmac is horrible, feels like he has to fill every second of airtime with his voice, and gets WAY too excited when doing the in-game advertisement readings.

I used to hate Wheels, basically due to his plain goofiness and his feud with Harry/Richie but I find myself strangely wishing he'd speak more. Put McCarthy back in the stands and the line to the hot dog stand and the parking lot, doing in-game interviews.

And his forced laughter at things that aren't funny, or only moderately so, reminds me of a fat-stupid dude doing an impression of Ace Ventura laughing. It's so forced I'm surprised he hasn't given himself an aneurysm.

It's so bad that I seriously think the phils television broadcast team is one of the worst in the league.

What is the effectiveness of Hamels curve? It just seems like a bad pitch.

I heard they are using him more cause Ruiz's bat disappeared again.

I'd much rather have Sgt. and Wheeler with T-Mac doing what he did last year, L.A. and Scott are great but I don't think L.A. will ever do tv again.

Ive bought tickets on gameday this year and last year, and not once did I get them for half price. Unless I really missed out on something, I have never heard of this.

Sigh, why couldn't we win 2-1 last night and spread the other 20 out over the last couple weeks.

It'd be great to roll this little mini-streak into the all star break. Take, say, at least 4/6 from our remaining Reds games/the Pittsburgh series and go into the All Star Break strong.

Or, we could just win all 6, that would work.

David Murphy talking about Trading for Halladay.

Some of these scenarios he is kicking around kind of scare me, obv getting Halladay for this season and next is so sick. But, as he says in the article, how much is too much. I mean you are really mortgaging the farm for the guy, not too mention there would be 4-5 other teams making similar offers. Im not really sure what to think.

This would be dumb if we can't re-sign him, imo.

If we can sign him for an extra three years or whatever, then pull the trigger asap.

Obv there are no guarantees of that, but he is under contract through next season...

Halladay would win at least 25 games this year if the Phillies got him. I would be completely unwilling to give up Drabek though, and very hesitant to give up Happ.

Thats the problem, if you give Happ up you are upgarding your rotation but the hole is still there. I agree I would not give up Drabek at all, but the Jays are in the position of power bc Im sure they will have multiple offers to choose from. Its an interesting discussion though.

Not that wins matter at all, I just love Halladay and think the chances of the Phillies repeating this year would actually be pretty decent if we got him, which would be pretty incredible.

You aren't getting Halliday without giving up Drabek.

Haap pitching like a number 2.5 tonight.

Well played sir, well played.

You are probably right, this deal is near impossible to do without completely depleting the farm system. But is it worth it for back to back titles? Of course it is.
