People complain when franchises dont reward players for laying it all out on the line. Well the Phils did that for Jamie, now you have to deal with it. He is still better than Chan Ho.

SIGN PEDRO SIGN PEDRO SIGN PEDRO.

shoulda signed manny over raul. its a long season and I have more faith in manny at the end of the year.

we coulda got sabathia as well.

Is this a level? First of all nobody wants Pedro and that is very obvious, other than that there isnt all that much out there to get.

Sign Manny? Are you kidding? lol.

Sabathia? Oh yea lets just get into a bidding war with the Yankees, thats surely the ticket to winning.

??? I thought you agreed that paying Moyer based on one spectacular season was a bad idea.

LOL @ Sign pedro maybe 5 years ago, if teams thought he could pitch still he would have been signed by now he's good for 5 innings at most a start. I really would love Cliff Lee but I don't wanna see them ship all the big players in our farm system for him if we couldn't re-sign him after the season.

I think it's about time to see what Joe Savery, Kyle Drabek can do both have been pretty lights out in reading(aa) this season, Drabek leads the league in K's with a 100 and has a 2.38 era(I believe), Savery is 9-1 with a 3 something era.
Cliff Lee has an option for 2010 that could be exercised for $9M, a bargain. It wouldn't be a 1 year rental. Fangraph's analysis. Now that there's evidence the Indians are sellers (DeRosa trade), maybe Lee will be pursued.

Drabek's only been at AA for a couple starts. I don't know if I want to see him yet. My guess is that the top internal option is Andrew Carpenter for a few spot starts.

Here an awesome clip. Pay attention to the audio at the :08 second mark. Check out the wiki:

ok so I searched for about 5 min for this thread and was wondering wtf happened. Too much clicking now imo. At least the fantasy crap "rate my team!!" is shoveled away from everything else.

Blanton was wheeling and dealing all game, got out of that bases loaded jam and looked great. Lidge and Rollins are looking to be turning the corner.
